Focus on the front today. That shouldnt take more than a couple hours. Then do the leafs tomorrow. Its not as bad as you think. I swapped my front out and lbj’s in about 4 hrs. Rear was about 5. But get someone to help w the leafs they are heavy, and will be easier with two people.

I know I'm replying to a really old post, but I thought it would be worth mentioning to you in case you didn't know, If your machine is set up to weld with hard wire and shielding gas and you switch to using flux core, you need to swap the polarity. For flux you should run DCEN (electrode negative AKA straight polarity). For hard wire you should run DCEP (electrode positive AKA reverse polarity). Also, hard wire doesn't seem to burn through paint and rust as well as flux so if you use hard wire, clean off mill scale, rust, paint etc. cheers.

Oh I know. It was set up for flux core when I bought it, but when I do true MIG I’ll swap the polarity.

You have the felt and cardboard one, much more sturdy and usually looks decent as long as you don't rip it. Ours is like a springy piece of pleather that sort of friction fits into the roof. It looks aweful and doesn't really insulate from noise or heat.

Always thought it was like a fiberglass/hardboard hybrid. Our headliner is full of fiberglass-looking fibers as the backing.

Unless you are constantly rearranging patches then it starts to look like a lint ball... :tumbleweed:

That's why I like my Land Cruiser roof, not felt and cardboard, not pleather. It is a tight felt that has been stretched and tacked. Super easy to rehang and re tension if needed.

When I first got my truck, I made the fateful mistake of trying to clean my headliner with a brush that was too abrasive and now the headliner over the drivers side looks like that, lol.

Here's an interesting question as I sit and think during breakfast. If you "act" confident, is that the same as real confidence. Outwardly if you're a good actor it should work the same, but if you can buck up enough corage to act isn't that the same as real confidence.?

What about your toast, do you butter and jam it or just do one of them.
