Are we planning on sticking to the same game plan and meeting up Friday morning at the off grid site.. then figure it out from there?
Ill be cruising up after work on Thursday night, might camp in bishop or just go straight to Mammoth, not sure yet. Is anyone else planning on going up Thursday night?

Same here! Plus enjoying a lot of cold brewski's and some good 'ole food! Oh yea, maybe a dip or two in the nearest watering hole if we get around to it.

Yep, it's a shame people trash the place, but I see it constantly all over the Eastern Sierra.

It's sad but I always carry a trash bag in my camelbak just to be able to pack out people's trash while hiking. I get kinda obsessed with finding trash on the trail. My wife is happy that I'm cleaning up after others and gets pretty pissed that others can just leave their shit (mostly candy bar wrappers and empty water bottles) in such beautiful places. The rangers always like to high 5 me and my boys when they see us hiking with a full trash bag. I've found most trash is hidden behind those downed logs that make perfect resting and sitting spots along the trails. People love to just toss their shit behind them and then get up and continue hiking along like nothing happened. :annoyed:

@ODNAREM ... I saw earlier in this thread that you wanted to try and make one of these weekend trips. Never saw a follow-up. You gonna make it for the 7/27 weekend? :boink:

Both lol. Jut to get an idea of how crowded it’ll be with regards to sites, and space. Looks like the original thread is pretty accurate, but didn’t know if we had any late bloomers.

No very few spots are actually baseless . For the backcountry is more of respecting
The fish by fishing barbless so we don’t rip them in half

If nobody on the list flakes I think we will have a group between 20-25 people tops but I'm guessing we will end up with 16-20 heads. I picked the location because we can fit a lot of trucks in the area without being packed like sardines.
