Little late but all packed up headed to Duck Creek, Utah for the 4th.

 

Stay at Coober Pedy Australia, opal mining area where most people live underground due to the heat. Most of you may know it from a lot of movies filmed here like Mad Max, Priscilla Queen of the desert and many more.



Dingo fence - longest fence in the world

 

Yes the name of the town is Crested Butte

 

That's a 1Up USA bike rack with their swing away hitch. Simply put, you get what you pay for. Very high quality, all aluminum, tool-free adjustable bike positions for handlebar/seat clearance, cam lock hitch mechanism. Upward sloping profile for maintained departure angles. I have done a decent amount of wheeling with bikes on the back, no scrapes. Every other rack is flat and would likely have damaged itself by now. 6/6 of my biking friends and I, would recommend it.

 

Tell me more about that fence, the area, and the dingos.

town of Coober Pedy - look close in the foreground and you will see the air vents and satellite dishes.ALot of the buildings you see are actually entrances to underground. I stayed in a motel years ago its certainly a different experience
Outside town you don't walk at night as you will certainly fall down a mine shaft and die.

stupid me was fishing in a tiny boat the day before near here and fell off the boat in the river, didn't realise you can walk on water when you need to

 

Well the first problem is that you are on the wrong side of the road.

And that croc.....uh, no thanks.

But you have to get your water above it to fill it.

 

Yep, I’ll just buy 5-6 gallons of water or fill it with a garden hose somewhere. I like the fact that you pressurize it and has a shower head attachment

Road train drivers are a queer bunch. Genuinely believe that they do in fact own the road.

 

Im in Minnesota and just stumbled across this post. Can we take our trucks to any MN state forest and set up camp or only the ones that have ohv trails? Sorry for the ignorance but im new to this lifestyle and new to the forum! Reason im asking is the dnr office is closed till Monday thanks. Awesome looking setup btw!

 

Possibly the MN DNR has a web site that would explain all the nuances of state forest uses.
