Wore myself out in the sun burning anything I could. Tore down chicken run and left them with about 12’. Started pulling metal roof off in Texas sun but my heel started up and I had enough.

I was sweating like....well, you know.

Anyway, I had help at work today. One guy, the only other person in the office with a CDL, so we took my pickup with the gooseneck and brush bunks and the dump truck. So while I loaded one he'd have the other going to off load. Worked really good. I was hoping to come to a better stopping point but he had to go to a fire. We moved quite a bit and still got 8 hours in....pretty good day.

I was talking to wife earlier today and I brought up how she would feel about getting a travel trailer. This is something we have never talked about before. I just never thought she would be interested. I think she might go for it. We need to look into it more.

Well thank ya! I spend a lot of time in Wi. actually for both work and play. Today was at Woods and Meadows near Warrens. I do really like Wi. a lot. Almost hit a porky crossing the road and did think about it. Got a kick out of the entrance to the Sporting Clays course. "Absolutely no alcohol allowed on the course". Then below that another sign, "That includes beer". Apparently many in Wi. consider beer a food and not alcohol or so rumor has it. :D Did I mention I like Wi.?

Ketchup of course and could end there. However bacon, slaw, pickles or relish (not both), onions, and chili are a good start. If you want a Chicago dog you need to add tomatoes. But those sick people put mustard on their dogs too. Did I mention bacon? Wrap them in it before you grill and use a toothpick to hold it in place if needed. After a few you will not need the toothpicks.

Been using a pop up chitter and shower tent in Mn. for years.

First one up in the morning has to fire up the little buddy heater to warm the plastic seat up on the Loo. And if you get up at night to use it you better throw a log or 2 in the wood stove.

If it is hot enough to sweat I am not camping. Until I get a camper with an AC.

Never stayed at the Davidson River Campground, only lived half an hour away :) Did use to start at the Jobs Corp next door (Schenck) and put several kids in the Navy out of there. And fish upstream toward the hatchery. And from the hatchery parking lot down stream toward the Job Corps. The 2 guys that started Davidson River Outfitters were Engineers at the DuPont silver film plant near there. Took a lot of guts to leave and do what they did. And good choice, film demand for xray is gone with digital. I shot several grouse up the mountain behind the hatchery over the years.

That don't stop them here. There are a few out there where I'm working since Wednesday afternoon. This morning when I went to work (0500) it was in the 80's.

You guys and your damned ketchup.

Here's what ketchup is good for (seriously), those of you brave enough to try it will be thanking me later!

    1 - Ritz cracker
2 - peanut butter of your choosing
3 - ketchup (or catsup, I dunno the difference)
4 - a little piece of red onion on the top

Make a plate of 'em, you'll want more than one!

Has anyone here tried apple pie with cheddar cheese on it? I have never heard of this combo and when I was visiting my niece and her new baby boy a friend of hers brought this over? I didn’t try it because to me, if you’re going to put something on apple pie it’s ice cream. :notsure:
