    Not exactly the same but when I did my 84 I didn't need to strap anything. Just kicked the tire so that the leaf dowel fell into the axle top plate. Then lowered the ass a little to fit the shackle on. As far as grease there are many options. Here is some info that might be helpful.

    Saw that article back when I was researching. Figured since the wheeler poly bushings are made by Daystar, I'd go with their stuff. Will probably use Energy Suspension's Formula 5. In the end, I'm just overthinking it - lol. thanks for the feedback.
