It was really nice seeing everyone today and the food as always was excellent. Hats off to all the cooks!

Also that tiny pig was adorable and had she hung around much longer I probably would have brought her home with me.

My doctor is already unhappy with you. Don’t care whether he gets over it or not.
Wait, y’all had tiny pigs? And no one turned them into bacon?

Welp that's it, officially moved back to Austin from Lubbock. Either transferring to UT for a math degree or Concordia for an environmental science degree. Haven't made up my mind yet, if anyone has any input in either field I'm all ears :)

So freakin stoked to start going to meets and such again. Been so long since I've seen the squad, even longer since I've seen everyone from the seat of my own Taco

My son went to Concordia for a semester. Their annual costs are about par with a new Tacoma AC SR5 (2wd). If you got the money, it’s a nice little school. Then there’s the jobs. People who can math make a lot more money than people who can’t. Either way, though, it’s ultimately about what makes you the happiest.

Its super nice, luckily i've got enough scholarship money offerings from Concordia to make my student loan credit 6 figures faster than I can blink.

How did your son like it? I'm nervous about going from Tech to such a small school. I really didn't like Tech towards the end though. The few professors that spoke half understandable English gave less shits about you than the professors who could hardly speak English at all. First world problems, I know, but I started seeing my student rack up and just having a self reflecting moment of "wtf am I even learning here? Not just a degree with a GPA, but actually learning?"

I think Concordia might be a good solution to these problems. And I guess with UT at least they're super accredited... I don't even know if i'll even be able to get in with a 3.35 and honors from Tech... so maybe I won't even have a choice

As someone else mentioned, it was cool seeing you all at CnC - how was Bastrop after? :)

Good morning y'all :hattip:It was a pleasure finally making it out to my first T&T/C&C (I had on the TTC t-shirt), glad to put faces to screen names. It was like in the military when you only knew people by their last names. I'm pretty sure there were some that I didn't get to meet but if they have it on a Saturday again, I'll be there! My first time at Bastrop was also a blast, I dropped it down good on the stock "skid plate" and it has a good sized dent in it. Definitely need to get a pop-up tent or awning for future meet-ups, that sun beat me up good.

@KENNY wasn't lying when he said the mud gets everywhere. Got it all cleaned up afterwards
Huge thank you to those that brought out food/drink and to those that helped cook :fistbump:

Yes sir! I hung out under the cooking awnings most of the time with the goodies.

Go Math. More options. Hardly any jobs in the Environmental field. I have first hand experience looking. The jobs wont pay as well as math and they are usually at the liberty of government. You also might have to travel to another state for more options.
