Never heard of this one. How is the strength of NICU compared to stainless?

a lot weaker. but doesnt gall as easy as cres. you need to look for k-monel or make your own. strong and corrosion resistant.

I've heard of monel bolts, but never sold any. I have sold Silicon Bronze, but those are weaker than a Grade 2. Probably not good to use on a bed stiffener.

I bought everything from RAAMaudio.com. Very instructive website. BXT mat which is similar to Dynamat, and a foam-like material, ensolite, which goes over the mat in the back and door panels. No ensolite in the door skin. I don't think it would do well in that environment. This modification does not address door rattles directly, but in the process of putting down the dampening material and the ensolite you will probably discover where the rattling is coming from and eliminate it. Most people in this forum have used Noico 80mil or Dynamat only and have been very satisfied. From what I've read the RAAM Audio material is easier to work with and mold around the panels. No matter what, your fingers take a beating. You can get Dynamat and Noico from Amazon. The RAAM Audio is a 2- step process and is more expensive, but for me it made more sense. Any way you go it's a worthwhile modification. I don't think I would get into doing the floor or the ceiling, at least not for now. It's not difficult, but it's time consuming to do it right.

Quite softer than CRES but strong enough for fastening bed stiffeners and won’t corrode. It’s probably cheaper and easier to just get some stainless hardware though.

Does the dual USB port housing fit the hole the cig lighter comes out of without modification? And do you happen to have a link to the dual USB port?

Amateur hour tonight. Wrapped side mirrors with 3m satin black vinyl. Came out pretty good, some creases at the corners but oh well.
Not going to lie pretty difficult, but cost me $20 compared to the quote I received of $140.

Looks awesome. I’ve been contemplating doing this as well but I really like the color match.

I used a course sand paper on the hole to make it a little wider. But not much. Probably an extra step you don’t need to take.

Drove from KY to FL yesterday! Averaged about 23 MPG, but man, that adaptive cruise control was such a nice feature to have on a long drive. Never cared for it much until yesterday lol

agreed! I drove for about 2.5 hours straight (all highway) this past week and I think I had to actually touch a pedal twice?

    adaptive cruise grew on me!
