Good luck! It’s pretty fun when you get running with it. Test isn’t that hard, but you cover a lot of information for the technician license. HAM is superior on the trail. You will be real happy with your time investment.

Excited to try these Rigid pods out on the trail. I'm really impressed with how bright they are.

Replaced the radiator, radiator support, plasti dipped bumper again, and new headlights. Only to find out when putting everything back together the a/c condenser is cracked too.. So back to pieces it goes when more truck parts show up... Started yesterday afternoon and finished a couple hours ago.

The radiator support has been cracked since I bought the truck from my brother and quickly got worse. When I shut the hood the latch buckled, so I've had to use a ratchet strap to keep my hood closed. A/C went out shortly after, now I realize that when the radiator support and hood latch support thing broke it shoved itself into the condenser. The whole front assembly was all sorts of messed up. The radiator support replacement is no joke either. No idea what the hell happened with the actual radiator, I guess age and mileage.

This truck has never been in a accident, been in my family since new in 07. All related to the piece that connects the bumper support to the hood latch.

Came with MGM topper. Added FJammer stereo. LED Bed lights on AOB Flux Capacitor Switch. Added AOB Spy Mode switch for TBD lighting, stay tuned.
Needed 6cds, mp3 and aux function in my 05 reg cab 5 lug.
    I had this hanging around:
    IMG_20180715_011029.jpg

Could I have picked up a Tacoma specific non JBL 6 disc? Yes, but the best I could find was $85 at an almost local salvage yard and I already had this one. (Plus it changes colors and I'm a sucker for that sort of thing)
I picked it up about a year ago off eBay for around $40 and put it in my 92 pickup. It was one of the few parts that I kept back when I sold it.

So I trimmed a cheap metra kit and here we go. I also cleaned the red off the clock, though it's a bit hazy. There's still some gaps I need to fill around the edges and the face sits a little more recessed than I'd like, but it's functional. I figured I would give it a little while to see if it rattles at all before I finish it off.
Then there's the matter of where to mount the aux jack. I figure my options are either try and find a center dash panel from a 09-11 with the shorty buttons between the power ports or I could try and fab up something in one of the buttons by the driver's side door, or fab up something in the blank where the 4wd switch would be. I think I like the last option the best, I'm just not sure exactly how I'm going to go about it.

    No mods whatsoever!
I removed the cigarette lighter and replaced it with one I found on Amazon. Charges my phone and gives me navigation with apple car play. I still have the 12v port if needed.

I have back issues also. Everyone kept telling me to ice it that just tightened everything up and made it worse. Heat and I like using those muscle shock things also, was turned onto them at the physical therapist. They would put them on then lay these weighted heated blankets on my back. Was the best relief I got now steroid shots do the majority of it. I just wish more cars heated the backs of the seats and not the ass part.

What is the bolt sizes I made some shims out of UHMWPE and am going to raise my seat just don't want to take the bolt out to go match it (laziness). I am going to try and raise the front a little also (short people problems).

I too have issues with back ...find the tacoma seats not well suited to comfort...was gonna have them completely re done...then try'd this ...its extra dense foam, tried several different things but came back to this....1" thick back plate and bottom...4" side panels....really cradles me in now, big difference when off road....decent set of seat covers holds everything in place...cost was nothing compared to the $ the shop was gonna be to re do...

should be ez enuff to add a heater....

Didn't read if it was mentioned, but I would strongly suggest trimming the bolt that ties the pod bracket to the ditch light bracket! When you start driving and hitting bumps, the whole assembly will flex and that bolt will definitely hit your hood being that close.

Got my plate holder in the mail, did 6 layers of plastidip, dipped the edges of the plate and added some heavy foam blocks I had laying around. Great product!!!

Great job ACEkraut on the bracket and worth every penny!

Next step will be to paint the big plugs on the bumper white. I’m going to use white plastidip and I may white dip lower on my door sills that are getting scratched up as well.
