Yep. It does nothing good or bad for me, but it's common enough. I prefer ice cream, too.[/QUOTE]
I need to get out more. I thought they had been smoking some weird stuff when they said it.

Sorry about his passing. I do agree with him it’s Heinz or nothing for me.

If you have a really good apple pie and a really sharp cheddar it's better. If you go with a cheap pie and sandwich cheddar you'll have one of those "wtf is this?" moments.

I can do either dill or sweet depending on my mood. Sweet caramelized onion and a good brown mustard go really good together. I have my grandmother's mustard recipe and it's pretty awesome. Maybe I'll make up a couple quarts this winter. It's made with vinegar and really smells up the house so I'd have to do it on a burner outside. It comes out more like a custard, little sweet, a little heat. Haven't had it in years.

I’m tired. 1.5 hr nap after work this morning. Just finished swapping out steering rack in 6x6. Saved repaneling and alignment for tomorrow, ‘cuz mathing when tired is frustrating and prone to miscalculations. :cookiemonster:

Shower and order pizza night. :)

EDIT: not caught up; maybe later, maybe never.

Sorry can't like that. Too many heat strokes in the pit. But I am starting to lean toward Az. for a couple of months in the winter. Except lack of seafood I do miss that. Still a few years out yet so no rush but you always seem to keep me thinking....

That is great to hear! Before they started up Hunter Banks in Asheville was the main fly fishing spot. If your on the Davidson I assume your fly fishing catch and release :D. Sounds like they are following suit. Grew up on freestone streams like the Davidson but there are some limestone cricks out here that they are begging people to take slot limit trout out of. Just saying if you ever want to take a trip. But nothing in comparison to Alaska!

North Central Pa. is the same except bars. You have to purchase liquor from the State store. But might be half a dozen buildings in town altogether. Stop sign is optional. Church on one corner and bar on the other.

I will drive up through Wi. to get to the North Shore of Lake Superior to bypass the traffic in the cities. Might get stuck behind farm equipment for 15 minutes or so in harvest season but worth it to bypass the Cities. And several stores advertise with huge signs Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms and ammo. Did I mention I really like Wi.? I like the Billboards in South Dakota too though. And the people. This sign original started outside of the Aberdeen SD airport and says welcome to South Dakota. Now they are spreading to Western SD.

Not political. Just stating a fact of life from my observations-

Oh only since the microwave came out in the 70's where have you been? Corelle bowl, several pieces of sharp cheddar slices broken up and layered on top. Nuke but but less than a minute. Vanilla ice cream on top. Then some milk out of the bulk tank without turning on the agitator first so it is mainly cream. Come on man catch up...

Helps when NY was second in dairy production only to Wi. Then Ca. and those happy cows took over. And there is nothing wrong with Vt. sharp cheddar either. Not that most places make what can really be called "sharp" anymore. Try it. Think you will like it. My mother uses butter pecan ice cream instead of vanilla. And so do I if I am going to do it but hard to come by in these parts. Right up there with Birch beer soda but Spring Grove makes some once in awhile.

    Cablea's Big Horn.

Had a family wall tent that the family used during the Summer Olympics in the 96 Olympics at a Boy Scout camp South of Atlanta, Camp Thunder. Worked well. Then we moved to Mn.

My youngest son, a friend that owned a lot of land on the Canadian border and I used it for deer hunting. Enter straight line winds. Ontario extends from Mn. to Vt. First year straight line winds knocked down the tent and were 80-110 mph. We ended up in the Suburban after the winds flattened the tent. And it knocked down trees from one end of Ontario to the other almost 1,000 miles. And the next year and following years the downed timber caught fire and burned. The winds happen every year, when and how far is anyone's guess.

Looked at the alaknak but it doesn't deflect the wind well not much better than a wall tent with flat sides and excessive sail space. Have laid on the cot and listed to the straight line winds roll in they sound just like a freight coming at you. Used to hold on and yell brace for shock much like on a ship with incoming hit alpha. With the Big Horn grab the sleeping bag and pull it over my ears so I don't listen to it and fall asleep. But it is going to pull the fire out through the stack don't care what you are using, even in many home furnaces. The Big Buddy is usually running inside with the propane tank outside when you know the winds are coming. Keeps it warm enough that is still comfortable. And of course CO and smoke particles detector in the tent.

It’s fairly compact so I keep it on the rig even when we don’t plan to overnight...’cuz ya’ never know.

Randy has the Cabelas Alaskan Guide, it’s a great tent, but quite a bit bulkier/heavier. We use it out at Chicken mainly.

    Good Morning.
I was planning on hitting one of the beaches this morning so i can dig up a bucket of clams.
Low tide at 8 and a warm front coming by for the next few hours with thunderstorms.

Of course it hasn't rained in weeks....only when I have plans. And one of them is not to be a human lightning rod. :bananadead:
