To my knowledge, no, the 5VZ is not known for burning oil. My family has owned 4 different vehicles with that engine, all with over 150k and none of them burned a drop of oil. I would bet that your valve cover gaskets have a slight leak. Mine are leaking pretty bad and I go through about 1/2 quart every 5,000 miles.

Well @BartMaster1234 seems like a stand up guy might be able to work something out. Got to get rid of this so someone can use it...or just admire it...

Do any of you guys know if there are any differences between a 1995 Extra Cab Frame and a 2004 Extra Cab frame. I am trying to find a frame for this truck I just bought, I just don't know if there are any major differences in the first gen frames.

Here's what I am up against.

Along with many other small rust cracks and things, but other than that the truck is in excellent condition.

different leaf springs.. and im pretty sure theres no spot to mount the charcoal canister.. probably some other minor differences too

But do you think it would be easy enough to fix like the minor things, and maybe chevy 63s to fix the leafs.

Or can I just buy 95 leafs and use the same rear.

Leaf springs are 3'' longer on the 04

emissions stuff is very different too as the 04 mounts to the top of the gas can and in the engine bay of the 95. Not sure that'll be an issue though.

Otherwise the frames should be the same. But knowing toyota you could find some minor differences with were the fuel lines/brakes lines/ect mount. But that wouldn't be the end of the world.
