Hello everyone, I just picked up a '18 Tacoma TRD Off Road 4WD. I've wanted a Toyota truck since the eighties when I saw Back to the Future as a kid.

I've had other 4wd vehicles over the years and I can't get over how much I'm impressed by the capability and practical features this thing is packed with. It is a beauty in Silver Sky Metallic.

My line of work calls for me to make multiple trips between Austin and Dallas each month and I just got back from my first trip and the truck did great. It is comfortable, capable and looks awesome to boot.

I do have to say that I can't get over how expensive vehicles have gotten. I know they have a lot more tech in them but they sure do seem to cost more than they should.

Lastly, I've lurked here for a while and I just wanted to say thank you for the wealth of info that helped inform my decisions.

    -Frank

Stock suspension, stock wheels, stock bumper, stock, stock, stock, dammit!
Congrats! I have owned Toyota trucks since the mid 80s, and yes, they are expensive, but keep this in mind: They don't depreciate very fast, so there is equity in them. I paid close to 18k for my 2009 in 2009, and got 15k settlement when it got totaled two weeks ago. Now I have my first 4wd, same color as yours, I think.

That's a very good point. The resell price on these is crazy.

    Thanks for the warm welcomes.
