Part Number for Bolt Request

Anybody know the part number for the bolt/washer that is used on this bracket that the skid plate mounts to? Thanks for the help!

 

If you can pull one out and measure it, you can get one from a store without getting the OEM bolt from the dealer.

 

They are 90119-A0173. The washer is captive.

 

I thought about that but wanted to see how much they would be from the dealer first and compare.

Happy to help. Couple of things you ought to know. Those bolts, and most of the bolts/nuts on our trucks are JIS. JIS fasteners are hard to find. Probably the best you can do at the hardware stores are the European metric versions. The principal difference is going to be wrench sizes as most JIS use different wrench sizes. Not a big deal but be aware of that. Also those OEM bolts have a special zinc plating for rust.

 

Can you elaborate on JIS?

 

Japanese. They're very close, but just slightly different. Sockets don't quite fit perfect, screwdrivers might slip/strip

 

They're and M12-1.25 pitch if you want to go to a hardware store. About 30mm long.

 

so mm sockets & wrenches are used but don’t quite fit??

 

I don't think there are 3 different types of bolts out there. It's just SAE (old school domestic) and everything else (metric)

 

Feel free to correct me for sure but IIRC there is DIN, ISO, JIS, and further subcategory ANSI/ASME. I may need to revisit all this.

 

Also whitworth, old British shit uses them

 

Are these the same specs for a 2009 double cab TRD? I've got some armor that needed spacers and now my bolts are not long enough. I think they're yours actually.

I'm a dork, so I'd go find some Grade 8.8 behemoths if I needed to replace them. You can get m12X1.23X30's for like $0.99 each

 

Yes, same from 05-current. The front skid (most aftermarket) are held with 4 of those M12 bolts, and 2) M10-1.25x25mm bolts at the rear of the skid

 

I had a hard time finding a very similiar bolt when I attached my recovery hook. Tried bolts from ace, HD, lowes, though they all said they met spec and where exact dimensions as the OEM, they still didnt fit for whatever reason.

OP, save yourself sometime and headache and get the oem.

 

Awesome... any advice about finding OEM bolts with the same thread, pitch, and gauge... but a little longer in length? I thought maybe longer bolts with same specs are used elsewhere on the frame under a different part#

 

I need all six bolts, but each about 1/2 inch longer to account for the spacers I'm installing to protect the front diff... without the spacers, the skid sits against the bottom of my differential
