Think I already asked, but does anybody have some of this body cloth I could buy from them?

Can't find it anywhere, ordered similar (but different) body cloth from a local upholstery shop and they're going to fix it.

Think the number we looked up in the toyota book was 50814 (gray)

Man I wish you had posted this earlier. I just threw away a bucket seat with the same cloth intact.

By your username, I take it you surf?

I'd get some seat covers instead of trying to fix the upholstery.

Even if you don't surf, and you just off-road with it, I'd get seat covers that are at least water resistant.

I do surf, but never jump in my truck with my wetsuit still on. Besides that tear, the seats are in great shape. The upholstery guy said he could fix that tear, and even replace some of the foam that's busted wear that tear is. All the neoprene, water-resistant ones I saw were kinda ugly IMO. Love that stock look.

That's where mine ripped, too. It's from sliding all your weight across that spot while trying to get out. Time to buy a seat cover.

Can’t you sew it closed? It isn’t necessarily a hole yet, per say. Just looks like a rip.

There's another little rip, up and to the right, from the main tear. The upholstery guy is gonna replace that whole strip of dark grey cloth. The rest of the fabric on the seats is in great shape, just trying to fix that one spot and enjoy before going to seat covers. The problem is the material there is really brittle/old, and just sewing it closed will end up tearing somewhere else again.

Try a little bit of CA or super glue and seal it up before it gets any worse.

What's CA? Upholstery guy said he can replace some of the foam underneath the tear though too, it feels like it's broken or something, compared to the passenger seat.

Try having it steamed. It really loosens up the foam. Makes a huge difference.

Here's the fix after the upholstery shop put in the new cloth. It's Toyota cloth, but slightly different. Came out pretty good I think, plus the cloth is actually softer than the stock one so more comfy getting in and out. He also put in more foam underneath so feels so much better.

I had to buy a full yard of the body cloth, if anybody wants any to fix theirs lemme know.

BTW, thanks bartmaster for the arm rest, also feels so much better chilling out on the free way, no more plastic jabbing my elbow!

Hey semi off topic, but you should check out Wet Okole seat covers. Pricey but good for after surf.

Do you sell them ha? Saw that you're in hawaii...

How do they fit our trucks? I'll keep it in mind if my seats go south down the road.

Love the TRD emblem on the covers! How do they fit, are they snug on the seats? Somebody else mentioned these before and I threw out the idea because I've tried seat covers and they're always loose. I might consider getting some just to preserve the stock body cloth on my seats maybe, or when mine tear again.

That diff breather tube you put on there, I didn't even know that was a thing we should do on our trucks. I just went out and looked at my truck and looks like it needs to be fixed.

Yeah, the emblem is cool; was a custom one that they put on for me.

The covers are very snug on the seats. So snug, it's way better to remove the seats to install the covers.
