@FirstTimeFirstGen was it you that said to bleed the proportioning valve?

I never noticed a bleeder on the proportioning valve before, and I just looked again, and it's not there. Am I missing something? Did you mean just crack the lines behind it and bleed it that way.

**Edit** checked the manual, and I'm pretty sure bleeding the prop valve specifically would only apply to systems with a load sensing proportioning/bypass valve. 4 runners and later (than my) Tacos.

Not enough to have a build thread.
Mine has a load sending proportioning valve so that makes sense. I have a little bleeder on the top back side of mine. If no bleeder then no bleed necessary I would assume.

If you are working remotely and can wait for the plows in the morning you will be ok with almost any all terrain tire. If you are thinking that you might need to do some late night shopping or early morning commute then get some st maxxs or duratracs. Tuol rd gets plowed around 9am, then the smaller county trucks will plow periodically through the day. You will want to shovel your driveway otherwise the compacted snow will just turn to ice and you will have a blast driving down it. Below twain harte we never see more than a couple inches on the roadway, BUT the issue is all the fawking cars abandonded and scattered across all the lanes on every hill. To get into Tuol after snow starts dropping requires you to weave around the idiots on every grade, which is 3 between standard and tuol.

And depending on your driveway and what trees you have, you need to get a chainsaw and be prepared to use it. You are lucky because tuol hasnt lost power in a storm for the last few years, in the past every time it snowed it use to go out for at least a few days, which includes cell towers. So finding a landline and then calling into your Manager who is sitting 3 hours away in the city and explaining that you cant work for some indeterminite amount of time is always fun.

To get 6 acres and good enough internet to work remotely in tuol I would guess that you are either out by Apple Colony or up Tuol Rd past the rez.

Just dicked around a little with the truck tonight. Completely flushed the fluid. And got distracted by a shiney object (the Optima Yellow top I bought today.)

Gunna have to rework the + and - cables to make it work. I got the big ole 34/78.

Haha. Buckhorn grade in a snow storm...

I used to live off Tuolumne rd N, Parents still do though, got stuck on their driveway in the snow a couple of years ago and that’s when I knew I needed a truck.

Now want to see a total cluster come into Sonora after a storm. It’s total chaos. Luckily that doesn’t happen often.

Then you get the idiots who think that it is ok to use the icy roads to drift their beat to hell 2wdnchevy full size all the way down Phenix Lake Road. Well He didn't actually make it all the way...after nearly taking out a car coming up the road he ended up in a ditch. I did stop to see if he was OK but when he asked if I would pull him out, I just laughed and drove away.

I'll just keep plugging away at the brakes, let me know if and when you want to have a look at the battery.

Tundra brakes are on, brake lines are done, and lower ball joints installed.

Now to work on the back.

You can't tell much difference... but drums are done. And rear flexible line is replaced.

Thanks for the rundown. I'm up past the rez off Maranatha. The driveway is steep so that will be fun. Been working in and out of a coop office in Sonora but maybe I'll plan on staying at home on those stormy days....or go downhill skiing and avoid all the obstacles lol.
