Pretty sure they'd kick me out. They blocked me on IG after calling them out for using pictures of Wyoming to promote the Montana event. :sadviolin:

I just don’t know if I could justify that kind of money for an event like that. Especially if you camp there you only get a 20x20 spot. If my wife has the baby before then I might take the fam for a day trip but otherwise I don’t know if I want to go

IDK why you'd pay money to hang out with a bunch of #instalanders anyways.

Would rather go camping for reals. Plus it's free

Anyone have trailmap or verbal instruction for hiking to one of the lakes near Hollowtop?
Year before last I took Willow Creek Trail but trail forked a few times and eventually each disappeared into snow and fallen trees. Never saw the lakes. Was in early October.

Or any other high lake suggestions that i can do out & back same day from Ennis?

You want to take the fork to the right. Hollow top is nice but 50% of it is ATV trail. I would suggest Sheep lake by Earthquake lake south of Ennis off of Hwy 87 it's a nice hike think about 11 miles round trip. Take your fishing pole and Do bring bear spray. Also could fish the upper Madison on your way or back from Sheep lake.

What is the Geo Coordinates on the trailhead for Sheep Lake or did you follow the creek? Many thanks in advance.

Should we start charging for TW meets? I'm sure Bob wouldn't mind if we slipped him a little $$ under the table :notsure:

I don't know exact coordinates for the trail head sorry. The forest service access road to the trail is 6905 it is marked sheep creek off of Hwy 87 about 1.5 miles south of the Hwy 287 junction. The trail is great for dogs as it follows sheep creek, about 3 miles up there is a junction if I remember right there is a sign stay straight/right. To the left is Watkins creek trail. Coffin lakes is in that area also but is used more. Sorry my Grammer sucks. Hope that helps.

    Follow creek. Take bear spray.
    Sounds simple enough.

Camped up at Mystic Lake over the weekend. Man the switchbacks at the end made me realize how out of shape I've become haha. I forgot how pretty it was up there!

Side note... I've decided to officially sell the tacoma and go full size. If you guys know anyone looking for a quicksand 2016 DCSB off road, let me know! I also have a soft topper and all pro rack combo to sell too, if anyone is looking for one.
