Ended up going to Rapidan WMA to camp. Saw a fully modded black second gen with a dual spare rear bumper. I stopped to say hello but did not catch his name.20180714_200602.jpg 20180715_120118.jpg

Anyone on here ever own an FJ Cruiser? If so, could you share your mechanical/drivability opinions on them good or bad? I am thinking of picking up one to tinker with and to replace my kid's car when he goes off to boot camp this fall. Thanks in advance.

Just the right mix of wheeling and camping for me. From around dusk Saturday to noon sunday only 2 trucks passed me. Several stream side camp spots are available. These are primitive sites with nothing but a rock fire ring. It can get a little busy during the day with jeeps / fishermen.

Loved it, would buy another in a heartbeat. Comfortable, fun/easy to drive. Big blind spots because of the way the rear windows are. Was good in the snow, not so great on gas, and they crash well

Thanks for that! I especially like the "crash well" part. I think I will try to pick one up before the prices get too far out of hand.

If you get two pairs of super tones, it’s almost guaranteed they’ll shit themselves.

    IT NEVER ENDS..........
Only reason is/was the retirement honestly, plus free certs and experience if you had none. But the way companies are pulling these kids right out of college and paying them is redonkulous. DOD cant keep up, they are gonna have to highly incentivize the smarter NCO's to switch over.
