    Hey everyone!

    I'm at 55K on my Taco... I'm wanting to keep it running nice as it is right now.

    My question is, what spark plugs do you recommend? I've heard iridium is the way to go for longer life. However, I know Toyota's run best with OEM parts.

    Please advise

    I have 106,000+ miles but am not the original owner of my 2008 Tacoma 2dr 2.7L. I changed my spark plugs today. It had Denso plugs in it (pictured). I bought Toyota Iridium plugs and put them in it. Very easy job. For $53 for 4 plugs, i hope to get a ton of miles out of these. I think i feel a difference. I hope it translates to mpg.

    Did mine today. 100k mi. First time changing them and boy, did they need it. Easy if you take your time. I went back with OEM denso on both sides. I figure if they last 7 yrs and 100k mi, that's good enough quality for me. FYI, the gap on new plugs is like 0.040....20180728_151241.jpg 20180728_151359.jpg

    Thank for you info guys ! Think I will go with denso copper as for my 2010 has and is clean and sweet for the 80 or so thousand on it.road travel only and just been a great truck.I put the washable air filters on it, cabin and intake. No leak anywhere on motor or drive train.new michelin defenders road tires and mobile 1 full syn oil at about 5000 between changes. Any other suggestions to keep it healthy would be greatly appreciated ! Thanks again for all you knowledgeable great techs ! Your very valuable to me.

    Denso or NKG Platinums will last you 100k. Denso or NKG Coppers will last you 30k (as per the maintenance cycle), and they are lower cost.

    I get copper Densos from my local toyota dealer for like $1.81 a piece which is cheaper than any parts store in town.

    I see a lot of comments here about NGK copper not lasting as long as Denso copper. Here's a pic of each with 34K on them. Look pretty much the same
