Alright now that I'm actually in front of my home computer I can use pictures as opposed to fruitlessly trying to explain what I'm trying to do.

Basically I wanted to crib this light rack idea from the Mint 400 TRD Bro:

However that rack was custom and I don't really have the resources to just whip up my own, I went for an off-the-shelf solution and picked up that N-Fab mount. It has its light tabs to the inside whereas this bar has them to the outside (which is how they stuffed the massive Rigid Q-series on there)

I probably should get someone to fab front support legs to this bar too, to make it rock solid... but I was hoping to not buy something and then immediately grind off the powdercoat to go to town. I digress...

Anyways the Rigid squadrons did not clear the bumper when I tried a preliminary test fit. Admittedly this was in the dark with an unaligned mount bar, but it brought up the issue of clearance.
You can flip the bracket 180 to gain about 3/4 of an inch clearance without any "spacing" that's gonna aggravate the bounce:

But you can't "flip" the bracket of the BD XL:
Not only is the mounting bracket directional, but unlike the squadron/S2 bracket the lower bolt hole has no offset from the upper bolt holes.
So I was thinking about whipping up a new bracket that offset the light forwards by a slight margin.

Talking about something like 1" max on forward offset, since the 3/4" added clearance on squadrons looks like it should be plenty. Hopefully that wouldn't make for much (if any) added bounce.

maybe @XPOTRPR could make extended sheetmetal mounting brackets for each light?

You know that it’s still going to be boring to 99% of the people that see it besides you being the 1%. Everyone is going to look at it and see squadrons on a bar, and ask why didn’t you do a light bar? Then you explain yourself for 5 hours about all the shit you did and why, and it still leaves them wondering why not a light bar and now they wish they were deaf as well.

If you think a body kit designed by Picasso having a seizure onto a fiberglass layup is aerodynamic, then truly you are lost.
