Went to harbor freight and got thier windshield removal tool. Worked pretty good. No complaints. I also started on the tie ins for the engine cage. Passenger side lines up well. I still need to do the driver side.

So much to say how the day went. To start off, it's so nice being able to just work on the truck without the added stress of having to get the truck running for thr next day. That just helps me relax and enjoy the work.

I put a good 13 hrs of work on the truck but 4.5 hrs of that was running back and forth to Insain fab to use the bender. Once I finialy got back I had to do all the little things that needed to get done. I added a 1.5 tube inside the main tubes for use as sleeves to tie in the bed cage tubes and the bottom of the A pillar tube because it had an angle and huge gap.

I notched the passenger side engine cage tie in and it lined up pretty well. I hole sawed the driver side and test fit the tube. But I still need to notch it. I made mounting tabs for the factory cross tube on both the driver and passenger sides. Removed everything that can be in the way of dropping the cage to weld the top.

I'm getting real close to start welding in the cage but I still have a few more little things to take cage of before I do.

More progress. Welded 360 around the A pillar and the front half of the roof today. I also notched the driver side tie in tube and it fits ok. I’ll make it work. I started on the back half of the roof but noticed the rear tube isn’t lining up right so I’m going to have to figure out if I need to shorten them more by grinding more of the notches. I got real lucky with where I built the C pillar. If I had it any more back I would of never be able to move it back to weld the top. I had to cut these two pieces of steel off the upper rear tail light. Starting to feel tired so I’m done for today. Pics :D

Yup, just dropped the welder off with buckeye. They are sending the photo to miller tomorrow and requesting parts to fix this.

I purchased 50 which is more then enough, what Dylan explained to me. About $120 with a little hand roller.

No clue. However long it takes them to communicate with miller, get the parts and repair it. Also if they remember to call me when it’s done. Any one can drop the ball. We will see.
