I can understand your frustration, but I am also confused. Your build number was #30 and you have not heard anything while people in the 40s are finalizing colors etc with GFC? I think I would be contacting them directly to resolve.

We finalized colors at the end of June (also good luck w/ reaching out directly, that's a crap shoot). Since then haven't received the updated invoice (for accessories) that was supposed to be sent when they were going to start the actual build, but on that finalize colors call was told it should be completed around the 11th. The whole process has seemed pretty amateur hour from the biz side of things.

That makes more sense - I would say it seems like you're going through the same process as everyone else, and that process does seem to always take longer than we would like/are told it should. Granted - you're only a few days past the expected completion date they gave you a few weeks back. You will probably have some good news soon!

It is disheartening to hear about the difficulty in communication, since they seem to be good at conversing via social media with people who haven't even ordered yet and really marketing it. Dialing back the future business development a bit and instead giving support/updates to already paid-up customers would be nice.

You should send them an email (orders@gofastcampers.com) to get an update. I did that today and got an updated build timeline. I agree the delays are frustrating and the communication has been a little sparse, but I got a prompt and informative reply when I reached out today.

@wileydavis @gmacmt the natives are getting restless again. Wanna stop by for a few mins on here with some info? Again we all realize you’re busy but it looks like we’d benefit from a few minutes of your time clearing some stuff up perhaps but some minds at ease. Not being impatient but we all have lives, work, family and plans too. Help a brother (or sister) out.

    Love Yota

On a positive note my sliders from @Mobtown Offroad came in today!!!! I ordered these in March (about the same time as the GFC). Perhaps it’s a sign. Good things come to those who wait. These sliders are BEEFY!!!!!!!

Agree eleventy million percent here. Gets frustrating missing vacation plans and other plans with little to zero communication (and as mentioned above being proactive on the consumer side isn't a guarantee of a reply).

Anyways, I realize this thread's intention is mostly a rahrah/good game echo chamber so I'll go back to lurk mode until I can blow the thread up with pics of my GFC in the wild :fingerscrossed:

OK, one last reply before I go back to lurk mode. Agree that it's just another week here, and what's another week after the rest of the delays, but my concern is that my (possibly mis?)understanding from the color call was that they'd send an invoice for the accessories when the build was about to start - meaning that mine hasn't been built yet. Thus the concern raised in this thread (and believe me I'm typically a non-bitcher, have started enough companies in my life to realize shit happens), that instead of July we're now into August for delivery.

OK, back to lurk mode for real now.

I agree, they need to improve communications. Graeme said they hired new people to do comms and I hope that helps. As has been said before though, it’s worth the wait (4 months past the initial timeline in my case). My build thread will be here: https://americanadventurist.com/forum/threads/my-go-fast-camper.6164/

Why on earth are they still rocking the super small windows on a RTT? The people are speaking make those suckers bigger

One pattern is easier to produce than two? Bigger would be nicer though.

Pattern? Its not like it is a complicated design.

True, but having a single pattern to cut and sew is still faster than two seperate versions. I think they have a CNC type fabric cutter so I don’t know if it really saves time but one version is still easier to manage, produce and stock than two.

I agree communication could improve between taking the order details (panel color, windows, frame color) and organizing delivery. Once delivery was pending communication was good, especially with my slightly complicated delivery logistics.

Most important would be to commincate expected timelines clearer and provide updates if they change.

Can’t wait to use the gfc this weekend.

Any body with a GFC installed tell me the exact length in inches from the front of the hinge to the very back of the extrusion? Basically the longest point? I’m sure it’s in here but I can’t seem to find it. It’s much appreciated. Trying to get my awning dialed in. Thanks
