So there was a random Gate closing off the middle of the trail. It was marked private property but it was in the middle of the trail and we could see the public access from the locked gate. We all took a hike in to see what we could do and what was going on. Brian decided to search a little more where he found a mini compound of trailers painted camo. and a green building beside all of them. Weird place for anyone to be. there was also trail cams up facing the trails not out where wild life would be walking around all the time.

Just got off the phone with Marcus, what a cool dude. Him and his group of guys are the ones who have clear that whole pass back up to there property. He said as long as we call in advance we can get the visitors code to get through. He did say that after that gate you can really only can travel about a mile back then its over grown and wash out from the rains. Him and his group have plans to start working on hand pass he said but not anytime soon. He did say that we should be able to walk to the old mine no problem but its over grown. Apparently a bunch of people keep stealing his game cameras and fire wood so he locked it up so he knows who's coming in and out but really nice guy. I told him if he ever needs help clearing and filling in wash outs ill be there and that I would try and bring some of you.

Beer this week? We’ve talked about it for like 2 months now and still no beer. Keep it simple and do Riskys or Bear Canyon?

that's great to hear. @JeepAndrew was telling me hands pass (back pass Marcus's camp) was so washed out (circa 2015) after the fire that it was really a crawler only trail. Like, he said his jeep probably couldn't make it through anymore. Car size boulders washed around and pine tree trunks wrapped around other trees at 8 ft high. He said the same thing. less than a mile past the private plot is probably impassable.

I'm down to go help do some maintenance. I think it'd be awesome to get that loop opened back up.

ALSO, apparantly according to the article chuck posted, Oak Hands ranch may let us through so we can enter pine canyon road from 181 instead of taking Pinery canyon...

Sarah told me that the Dusty Monk near downtown is having a charity night tomorrow night (Tuesday 7/17) and that we should all go. taco Tuesday at the Dusty Monk?

I just picked out a few of my favs from the folder Chase sent me. I gave him yalls number @trojanman18 and @Brindybot . I don't have the rest of yalls number. he shoudl be sharing them with yall. So many good ones for everyone. Cept the turd gens. I guess he doesn't like them that much. not too many photos of yall. Despite him explicitly exclaiming how much he liked your truck @chucklefunkk haha.

I told him to join TW just for this thread

The dusty is a couple blocks south of El charro. A lot of street parking around there since they're more side roads than main roads but finding a place for all us to line up or squad would be hard AF
