Could my bad Throttle Position Sensor case my truck to die at idle?

It died on me when I was wait to be picked up for work. Rpms kinda bounced up and down between 750 and 1000 for a second, then went back to normal fot awhile and then died.

Started right back up after that

Check your iacv idle air control valve. The gasket is a dollar and open it up clean it with carb cleaner and a small brush.

Sorry I'm tired haven't slept in 24 hours. Yes your tps could kill the engine at idle

Best I have found is to spray with EasyOff oven cleaner, and let sit for an hour or so, then use car wash, and finally, give it a good spray with WD40. Only caveat is that you don't want the EasyOff to get on painted surfaces, and it will degrade some of the decals/lettering, like the top of the fuse box. Your results may vary!

How about doing it yourself? I found a aftermarket one in a salvage yard, and installed in a little Dodge Neon for my son. Scary shit when you drill the first hole, and start in with a sabre saw on the roof of a vehicle. Did fine, and never leaked.

Been reading, seems like seized cam bolts are very common. When they're seized does that prevent doing alignment like the cam bolts won't move at all or just prevents you from removing then to take out the LCAs.

Sorry, probably sounds.like a stupid question but I hope I don't have to go through the trouble of cutting.

To the posts from a few pages back about first gen factory sunroofs here is my Limited 02 3.4 Double cab Tacoma with factory sunroof. It came with the cover.
I love it and use it all the time. When I got the truck I had no idea it was a rare option, sure happy I got it.

Who’s ordered the vinyl flooring from rock auto? How durable is it? Is it thick or thin?

I see, I'm thinking I should be ok then. My cam bolts loosen up & turn just fine. Just the bushings are worn out & have play so it makes it harder to do an alignment. I get an ever so slight clunk from the right side when hitting certain bumps. Alignment tech said it was the right side that had the most play.

But I do have a hackzall & will buy new cam bolts just in case.

Wait so how rare is a 96 with a sunroof with the power package and cruise control? Lol my truck came loaded it seems compared to most. Having a sunroof is amazing since my AC is broke.
