I got these used. They were in great shape other than the powder coat. Unless KB Voodoo has changed or fixed their powder coating it isn't very good. I've seen some of their racks that were bad also.

We were out at Belmo nt one day and there he was. He really plays it up walking around in bibs with no shirt on and the tourists eat it up. I was standing on the porch and he walked up and asked if I wanted his autograph? I kinda laughed just a little and told him no thanks I live here moonshine isn't anything new to me. It was a little rude for me to say I guess but I was a little aggrevated at the image he was portraying of those of us who live here.

I understand that. We have some of that around here too because of that mountain man show and ustice Conway. Also there were a couple of guys from NC on that moonshiners show. When in reality most of the folks that I know that live those lifestyles you would never guess as they look like avg Joe's

Now I may be wrong on this, but it appears to me from all my reading with spindle issues and what not that people seem to think having the sway bar would help keep them from breaking. As it always seems to be those without breaking their spindles. Reverse some of the pressure or something?

I don't think so most who are breaking them are wheeling their trucks pretty hard. It does distribute some pressure from side to side so their may be something to that. But I would venture to guess that most have been fatigued and then people are getting into a tough situation wheeling putting more strain on them then they snap. The spindles are pretty wimpy not very big to handle the strain that people put them through wheeling like they do. I for one will be getting some gusseted eventually, along with the TC coilover gussets, never liked the fact that the UCA is in a single shear it needs to be double shear mounted.

I keep my sway bar because I haven’t really had it off road yet so no need to remove and towing the camper or trailer I’d think it would be better

Yeah i def know for towing we want for our trucks from the added stress and pressures. This becomes even more important for those that use a WD hitch too. Like you mine does not see any real off roading. Personally need it get the fam back and forth just the occasional trail lol. I'd be curious to see if we could get a poll going for those snapped a spindle if it happen with or without. Maybe see if it's a good idea to remove when off roading, then reinstall after kinda thing? I don't know, just a thought lol.

I've yet to feel hindered off road by having the anti-sway bar, but I don't off road real rough stuff anyway. I do enough high speed mountain roads that I think it's more beneficial for me to keep it, and I've had one high speed maneuver while towing the Crows Wing that I'm positive having it on was a benefit.

If I ran harder trails, and my truck wasn't a daily driven/tow vehicle (in an area of the country that is full of reckless drivers ) I'd take the bar off.

I can't see easily pulling it for trails and putting it back on. You might be able to fabricate some quick disconnects for the end links if you are serious about having both worlds.

Does anyone know of some good "Bunny Trail" off-road sites? I'd like to take my wife one day, but she has problems with back and hip joints and bouncing around on a more challenging trail would not be good for her.

    Thanks.

Yeah I thought that loosing it was hard. Keeping it off is way harder. I need to loose about 18 pounds now to get back down to where I was

I'm on a doctor-supervised diet right now. I've lost 25 pounds since the end of April. I've still got 55 to go.

You can also run up FR 72 aka Long Run road. It's north of route 33 just west of Harrisonburg. You can make a nice loop run with Long Run, FR 87 (Little Dry River road) and FR 240 (Vepco road). There's some dam fine views off these roads and a few nice campsites if your self sufficient.

Also off FR 72 Is Dictum Ridge and Second Mountain. A stock truck can ruin these for quite a ways. I think they are in and back trails now, there used to be obstacles ( a staircase of rocks ) but I think they got closed down years ago.
