I hate to say it, but Ford really has their stuff together when it comes to the engine/trans/shifting/tuning. I've driven a new 5.0L F150 with the 10 speed tranny and its crazy how nice it all works together. Pretty excited to see what the Ranger Raptor brings to the table.

+1 for Turbo then! How would a TurboTaco compare price and performance wise, do you think?

First time I hear about the TSB 04B04.
What does it do to stock engines in real life (not data on paper)?
My taco was born on 1/17. Have no idea what I have installed.

Pretty cool if the dealer actually sold you OVTune!? As far as break in, you probably don't need much but if it were me I'd probably try to get in 500-1000 in taking it easy before tuning. That's just me though. you could probably flash it out of the gates and be fine but I know my stock truck took about 1000-1500 miles to feel like it was properly broken in

I do 1.04, ECT, and Smode more and more lately. Feels great! I guess it’s human nature to always want more power! Looking forward to 1.05.

you will never fully appreciate the tune if you don't have a baseline to compare against ;)

I also think it's important for you to get a feel for the truck's innate quirks, just like any other vehicle. It would be easy to think that a certain behavior is tune related when it may be a stock characteristic that you never experienced. That said, by now the tune has cleared most all of those quirks up such as the surging idle, busy shifting, delayed throttle, and many other things.

Feel the pain for a bit, then the tune will feel oh so good !

I was able to download the Registry File...

The instructions say to double click on it and select "ADD TO REGISTRY", however, that is not a choice in the drop down menu - only the usual MS choices:
    Merge
    Edit
    Print
    Scan with Window Defender
    Open with...
    Share with
    Restore previous version
    Send to
    Cut
    Copy
    Create shortcut
    Delete
    Rename
    Properties

Any ideas on how best to get to the ADD TO REGISTRY link?

DOUBLE-CLICK the .reg file, don't right-click it. The .reg file extension is already associated with the Windows Registry Editor. When you double-click the file it will automatically add the entries within to your Registry and you'll be good to go.
