    I have the AllPro ones you mentioned. I've had them on both trucks and find the company very upstanding. I had mine powdercoated matte black. Saves me from door dings.

    My wife does not wheel in her Pro, so we have the predator steps. They actually help her step into the vehicle because she's practically a midget.

    We wheel in the Off-road, so it has the BAMF sliders.

    Never been a fan of putting trail gear on a vehicle that will never see a trail.

    Well cool, Another Tennessee person. We do a ride around here called the dirt devil. It would be a perfect ride for you to go on. We usually do at least one or two organized rides a year there. It's about a 6 hour ride through some back country fire/service roads. Got about 40 creek crossings along the way. Otherwise just a nice slow role through the country side. I'll see if I can get one together for next month. Are you available on Saturdays. Let me know if you're interested. Thanks

    Everyone uses their truck differently. Think about your personal needs and then figure out what makes the most sense, sliders or step bars. To me it sounds like you think step bars are what you want. I’m not going to try to convince you to get sliders because they are what made sense to me for my needs.

    Same thing. They bolt to the factory step mounts, not the frame. I’m sure they are great for stepping into the truck.

    All the usual diesel truck mods- fuel system upgrade, programmer, CAI, intake manifold, 60MM stealth turbo
    Relentless fab on mine and really pleased. Bolt in option along with doing kick out or not, filler plates and angle option in relation to the frame- most range from 0-20 degrees.     I got the Tygers and I like em for the price. But what you'll notice is in addition to not holding as much as true sliders, you'll also lose an extra 2-3 inches of clearance because of the second bar under there. True sliders won't lose as much clearance.

    They were free for me when I inherited the truck, and like you I need it for parking lot protection ATM. When I get ready for serious offroading though I'm definitely going to have to swap them out.

    What set off sliders are those? I was told they do the DCLB with no kick out but they up charge you. Is that what you are running?

    I had this same debate when I was pondering what to do with my truck. I went with @Mobtown Offroad with the fill plates. Can't say enough good things about them. Work great as sliders, steps, (proven :mad:) door armor, and everything in between.

    Glad I did, because shortly after is when I started exploring Utah with friends, and they took me places I feel much better about having a large piece of metal between rocks and body panels.

    Edit: And the east coast needs more offroad companies close to where I used to live so this is my attempt at buying (formerly) local.
