I packed a full bed of gear and towed a pontoon boat with the 3rd leaf from the top taken out and it rides way better (6leafs total)

OME are taller and subjectively better. After they break in the nitro chargers are pretty darn nice. Billys set at 0 yield about .75-1” lift. My nitro chargers yielded exactly 2” in front after settling

To confirm you had the HD Dakars and pulled the 3rd leaf, basically making the Med Dakar's?

Yes, but the HD is what came with my medium kit. They are the CS047R model and the bushings are squeakier than a mofo. Need to marine grease the bushings

personally don't think you could go wrong with either one . I have been told that the OME kit yields a little more lift in the front .

Also will I get close to 3 with either? Getting the UCA so I can make it out. With 5100s you leave it at .85 though right?

I have my 5100's at 0 or the lowest setting . I have read many guys set theirs at .85 , but have also read it is not suggested to pre load the shocks . I would ask Marie @HeadStrong Off-Road .

I'm new to a lot of this and could use some help. Have an mgm 18 off road and ordering lift this week. After talking on here and researching I think I decided against the 4 or 6in RC.

Now its between OME or Bilstein.

Daily driver, no crazy off roading. Light trails, hunting, trips to the mountains etc.

    Going to do 275-75-18 ridgegrapplers
    Matte black fuel vapors 18x9

Just need help on lift. Which one or anyone that can speak on either?
    Also, tires should fit, correct?

Would one setup require extended brake lines and one doesn't?

If you get the bilstein B110 rear shocks the kit comes with extended break lines from headstrong , the OME don't need them . Just a heads up I just received my dakars from headstrong and they explicitly say they ship raw and un packaged but that being said they were absolutely shit kicked . Paint on both sides of dakars were completely scraped off also scratches/ gouges to metal on sides and bushing eyelets. They need to change how these are shipped. Maybe some cardboard and bubble wrap ?
