    Hey TW peeps.
Whatcha think. I got my spare tire hoist mechanism moved and reinstalled. My tire is still rubbing on the exhaust but on the shielded part. I am getting my exhaust rerouted and a new muffler installed next week. Will this be ok till then or will it melt the tire or i duno wtf?? ?
Should i leave it off till i get the exhaust done?? 20180717_122646.jpg

to be safe, just put it in your bed until you get it taken care of, easy enough to do.

    Too few to list.
I think you'd be fine in a weeks time without a spare unless you're going off road.

You could get one of the rope lock things people use on bicycles , put it through the rim and maybe through one or two of the D rings on the floor of the bed. Should stop your average thief.

If I remember correctly, some mentioned that part of the pipe doesn’t get that hot anyways. Why don’t you run your truck and then go down there and feel to see how hot it is. I think you’d be fine especially since it’s on the shield. How are you getting your exhaust re-routed if I may ask? I’m doing the same thing.

It's on a heat shield, it's fine. They're called heat shields for a reason

Getting the low cross over piece removed and rerouted. Tucked up a bit more. Adding a magnaflow muffler. Then custom bend around the spare. Im stuck there.... Maybe an. Axle dump?. I dont like chrome and i dont want a bolt on black tip and i dont feel like tryin to paint one ever couple yrs. Axle dump seems easy. I just wonder about drone.

You can get the TRD tip and weld it like me. Then you can have it powdercoated Black. That’s my plan. I’m planning on doing the front part as well just like you. Then for the rear I’m converting it to a dual exhaust coming out the back on each side. Going with the TRD catback exhaust customized look. Will look pretty sweet I think and have a good sound. Plus it gets it out from behind my frickn tire. I hate the location there. Then I’m planning on wrapping my exhaust system with DEI Exhaust Wrap.
