They had their opportunities to stay and the Spanos family made it obvious where they wanted to be. To bad for the fans for sure.

Thanks! I'm so itching to get back it again. Work has been nuts! Being an adult sucks sometimes!! Oh and where you at on the 395? I lived in Mammoth for 7 years before coming home to SD.

Haha! I used to love Suicidal Tendencies. Music from my youth right there. Might have to go revisit those albums now .

@Mr. Nobody I'm in Big Pine. I enjoy getting up to Mammoth when it is cooking down here in the valley.

Yup, sucks about our Chargers, but that's how the business of football works. :annoyed: :notsure:

I love me some john’s pizza and schats and getting drunk at the clock tower.
That’s all I have to add
    And...fuck the chargers

Yeah the valley definitely cooks in the summer. I used to work forest service and occasionally would end up down there on a fire. Brutal heat to work in. Killer area though in the cooler times of the year. I'm trying to schedule a Sierra's trip with some Toyota buddies who haven't been up there much.

Ah yes, long nights at the cock tower. Fond memories.

Well today was quite productive. Spent the majority the afternoon into the evening wiring in a front camera and switches to allow anytime front or rear camera use. Kit was purchased from TRDmod.com

The install was a little tricky as the instructions were a little confusing. That said JJ from TRDmod.com lived up to his reputation and within minutes of my emailing him a question he had responded. We exchanged a few emails and I was able to finish up the install.

After that install I was still motivated and tackled the universal dash mount I bought from @FreshMexicanTaco . Keep in mind this is a handmade item by this guy. He did all his own R&D on this and came up with this on his own. He is not a shop, or a fabricator. He just a 3rd gen enthusiast who had an idea for a better mounting solution and I'd say he did a pretty damn good job. If you are looking for a mounting solution for the 3rd gen, check him out.

Once I had the mount bolted on I went ahead and put a few days of silicone on the free mounting holes to stop the attached hardware from rattling in the dash. I'd say this is the only sort of confirmation of the setup and when I talked to him about it he said he is already working on something better.

Attached to the mount is a Ram ball...

    Then a 1" Ram arm....

Then I went with a @HondoGarage Perfect Squeeze phone mount. This thing is sick. Expensive, but damn it's built like a tank.

Oh, forgot to mention I installed my just arrived Xenon Depot LED bulbs. I'll get better pics soon, but already I am impressed with the output and pattern. No one flashed their highs at meon my test lap around town, but we'll see.

Very nice rig. I think mine will end up very similar to your build. I've been looking at sliders for one of my first mods and I really like yours.

    Thanks.

The Pelfreybilt sliders have served us well. Not only are they great protection, but the full plate on top and the angle make them for accessing the roof and tent of the truck.

Good to hear you are liking the new LEDs. What kind did you go with, and have you had a chance to take any pics yet? Always happy to see our gear in action.

I have the Extreme LED Pro. I ordered a second set for the highs and will be installing them in the next few days. Need to steal my wife's nice camera to try and get some decent pics of the output. Cell phones don't do them justice. They look and perform great.

That was some gentle pressure washing, a lot of damp rags, and Armour All Cleaning wipes for the remainder of the detailing. Took a while but it came out great .

How is the Leer holding up to the RTT? Have the same one and considering an RTT but I would be looking into 4 person tents.

So far no cracking or structural issues.

One thing we've had happen is the shell slid backwards about 2.5" after some trail driving. We pushed it back in place and tigtehed it down and it's not done it again. Another issue was the flex of the bed/shell from the weight. We have parked a few times on uneven surfaces and the bed flexing made it difficult to open the tailgate. We've since installed bed stiffeners. We've also had the bed removed, resealed, and reinstalled with two bolts going through the bed rails. We decided having the shell securely mounted was worth it to us.

Overall I still like the shell as a rtt mounting option and would do it again.

Nice truck. Still liking the LEDs? I have been reading back and forth about keeping halogens vs the LED because the light may scatter/blind other drivers etc.
