Ya a little. My A/C was getting high pressures now with trans cooler in front of it. See if i can draw a little more air at idle. Plus it had some dampness around the center shaft. So i know it was low.

 

Heating it up so all the fluid runs out.

 

Fan clutches have fluid in them? I always thought it was just a coil spring inside that's affected by temp. This is all new to me. This is the first vehicle I've had with a fan clutch.

 

I did the same to the cruiser it's running 25k cst fluid. It runs pretty cool usually anyway though. Only did it for the AC performance

 

On dressing, no sauces???..

 

Got four new rubber shoes from TiersPlus today 422.00 out the door with alignment.

There's lots of history to this mod hiding out in the 80series section of IH8MUD, the taco uses the same clutch design just smaller. Typically done to improve idle temps in hot climates or beef up AC performance, even helps with pulling air through denser radiators. But you have to put the right weight fluid in to get desirable results and with the smaller taco clutch I have no idea what that would be. Took lots of trial and error for the 80 series dude to come up with the options they have.

Just found out my trans will not shift from 3rd to 4th at 6000rpm, at least u can't bang shift it, it'll go more casually.
