you'll probably use some skids along the way as well... there's a spot where you might want the locker to help you get up

gets tight near the end, so watch your rear corners on the trees

rocks can get slick sometimes back there, so you might be fighting for traction getting up some spots

That sounds like fun. I am used to the east coast trails where squeezing through trees is most the battle.
I am free this weekend if anyone wants to plan to run that trail.

Putting this forward again to keep it fresh in everyone's noggins. "Noggin" is another word for "head" for you millennials out there.

I'll probably join you for this. Haven't been to Aspen yet and I don't have any Labor Day plans at this juncture.

I can’t say I specifically remember seeing your rig on that road, but if you were coming through between 1-3pm, it was me.

How was black bear for you? Had you done it before?

It was that time range. And yes had done it a couple times before it was very dry this time. Hardly any water under the falls under the steps.

7 Brookies all around 8-10". Mosquito fly on a spinner rod with clear bobber about 6' down for casting weight. Upper lake near the inlet was hot.

Hefty Fabworks in Colorado Springs makes some legit sliders as well- that’s what I went with. RSG off road in Lakewood started making sliders as well. For sure going with RCI skids once I save up my pennies. Waiting for the Labor Day sale.
