How are people attaching Maxtrax to the l tracks?

Is there a reason to do that vs just using the mounting pins drilled through the side?

I'd say with a piece of flat bar attached to the screw holders on the L tracks. Then installing the maxtrax pins through the flat bar.

Why it would be done this way? Well ou can remove the entire mounting system and use the l tracks for other items if your not always on the go with the truck. or they are just removed to be less easy to steal when your not exploring

    The mattress is 6'-8" (80") x 48".

It is 3" high density polyurethane foam. 18-36 (medium/firm). We started with the 18-45 (firm), but it didn't work out. Might have worked for a 2" or 2-1/2" mattress, but medium/firm was better for a 3" mattress.

Options. When everyone realizes that waffleboards are way more EAF, they can switch it up ;)

Also, @tdubd mounted a 4 gallon Rotopax to the side. @MJonaGS32 plans to mount a shovel or axe to the side of his, under the rotopax. You may decide that access to a shovel/ axe is typically more useful, and put the Maxtrax on the roof. All about that flexibility.

I have a shovel mounted to my bumper right now, I mostly want to get the maxtrax out of my bed/living area.

I’m also kind sensitive about putting stuff on my roof and making me more top heavy...for obvious reasons lol

By what ever do you mean ;)

Yeah i am going to miss the m8 slots on the inside of the roof on the Alucab. they were damn handy when it came to putting shovels, and miscellaneous items the didn't fit anywhere else somewhere. i may have to install some on the drifter just so I don't feel left out.

I definitely miss that - I had the table kit, a fishing pole, shovel and paper towel rack mounted to the roof but the trade off of being able to stand up is definitely worth it.

Rearranged my apartment and built some new furniture.

Started to really hate the side by side drawer system - Im 6’2 and it made it harder to get inside due to the decreased clearance.

So I built a stacked drawer that doubles as a bench (with flip up lid) and I can use the fridge slide as a table.

I somewhat copied the Goose Gear Habitat drawers; it’s 24 inches long so it will fit flush with the bed side. Top drawer is 8 inches high and holds misc items, the bottom is 10 inches high and holds kitchen stuff.

Will probably follow up later with a more improved/pretty version.

Nice apt, what do you do for beer storage and showers?

Besides the fridge or beer. Seems to be very limited room for a couple of 48 packs in there.

    Looks great Brian!

A Frontrunner Wolfpack will fit (3) 12’ers with room for some loose cans. So two should fit close to 96 beers. Haven’t actually tried it- just got the measurements online. I keep the beer in the fridge, and never that much. Typically more than enough though.

    I've got that ARB fridge!

When I get my camper I am going to build a PVC pipe solar shower on the side of it I think that I can pressurize with my compressor. I also have a Waterport I've never used, but I think the PVC will be easier to mount.

I was planning on using whatever one could be pressurized - I thought it was PVC but I can't remember exactly. I already have a 10
gallon water tank so I'm not concerned with using it for drinking water.

Are these then parts I need to attack maxtrax to the sides? Still not totally tracking on how people are attaching the flat bars to it.

Yeah, that stud will definitely work to give you a mounting point.
I bought a bunch of the below stud, as I like that it's lower profile and will also allow whatever's being bolted down to sit flush against the l-track for more contact surface area.

@OutbackHack (owner of OG Drifter V1) graciously offered to help me (read: he did all of the work while I made lame jokes on the sidelines) cut some of the corner panels for me to install my switches.

Right now off the top of my head, switches are for:
    Fan
    Internal light 1
    Internal light 2
    Ext light right
Ext light left (might be one switch)
    Water pump

Is there enough depth behind the panel for those switches plus the extra depth of the wiring/terminals??
I've also got some Conturas waiting to go in (picking mine up on Thursday), but I was estimating there would be an additional 1-1.5" of depth required.

I think it's going to be REALLY close but it should fit. @Iggy has been using these fancy right angle crimp connectors but not sure where to go them - but I haven't looked online at all.
