The damn government who’s taking over the land that should be ours as Americans.

You need to take some screenshots I think it would be good entertainment for all the non gram bro’s.

It’s crazy to see how blown up “overlanding/camping/traveling/beingahippe” has become over the past 5 years. Speaking of camping though, I’m ready for this dam heat to go away already and we’re barely halfway through summer. :bananadead: Probably won’t do any real camping until early September. Even then still might be probably high 80’s if it’s anything like last year.

I tend to lean towards the land not being American owned in the first place...

That being said, I think the land should be treateded respectfully, regardless of who owns it!

I'm not trying to spark a debate or say anything against you @ETXTacoma, but I think you overreacted. In fairness, you are not wrong, but people put stickers on all kinds of things. I have no problem with stickers being placed on man-made objects like signs. Now if they nailed a sign to a tree, that would be an entirely different story. People have been doing things like that to signs for years.

What about Tea Kettle Junction near Death Valley?

The Shoe Tree, which I think is somewhere in Nevada?

I actually don't like that one, but it has become an attraction.

    The Cadillac Ranch in Amarillo?

Or Carhenge, which I gather is also in TX?

Again, not saying that you are wrong, or even that I disagree, but I do think you overreacted.

    That’s fair.

I was hoping to see more “this may be a thing in the future”, which we kinda got to see at the end, but it was still enjoyable. I’d do it again.

No im not saying not American owned, but as Americans we should have access to it with out all the red tape. The Government is trying to make it into a money making venture. Which they wouldnt have to if the government officials salary's would get cut, and used for the up keep of the land and what not. I heard just the other day that they are considering starting a fee to have access to Horseshoe Bend because of the increased popularity of "overlanding". I can of course understand a small fee for maintenance/sanitation. It does boil down to people taking responsibility for there crap (pack in, pack out)

I dont think Cadillac Ranch or Carhenge can be included in this they are actually art installations on private land that the owners allow people to visit.

Teakettle Junction I personal think is cool just as long as the kettles dont get outta hand which im sure they will because everyone wants to add one when there are clearly enough.

Dont think im a fan of the shoe tree in my personal opinion that is defiantly "graffiti" or what ever you call it. But in some cases this is what makes a place desirable to go see.
