    I don't think he understood the first post.

    We have already determined TSS works different between Toyota models. For instance the RAV4 has steering assist while the Tacoma does not. It's possible the tundra's system works different from the Tacoma.

    I had a "hit the brake warning" and I slammed on the accelerator. It was going into a dark tunnel, false alarm!!

    Curious as to why you would rather not have traction control? It's an excellent safety feature.

    I know the thread is dead but thought I would update. The State Attorney General agrees that the truck was unsafe and Toyota is buying it back under Lemon Law. If you are having this issue do not keep it to yourself, let the dealer know, they will let Toyota know and maybe they can fix whatever the issue is.

    @Wicker24
    What protocol did they follow when they said TSS was fine?
    Personally if my truck did that I would blow a gasket. There is a difference between all the little warranty crap we complain about and a truck possibly deciding to kill you.

    Personally I like TSS but for the life of me wondet if the system was designed for timid old drivers. The warning sound for tss braking is a small chime, like my seatbelt is not attached. Right there I find TSS to be unacceptable, so they have work to do.

    Slamming on the brakes should be unacceptable. I would keep pushing Toyota. You and I both know that if the company is aware of the issue and something bad happens it will be better you voiced your concerns. TSS warranty service should not only be superior, but they should analyze each system reporting difficulty. Each time a malfunctioning vehicle reports to dealer they should be happy. Seems like you need to push harder. Do not accept a vehicle which can active lying hurt you. Make them do their work.

    Wow, that's good for you. Are they giving you full price that you paid (I would assume)?

    This is the reason I don't want this system...

    I had three separate incidents and repair attempts. They could not find anything wrong. Even took out the black box that records all of the info. Not sure what they found in there, or didn't find for that matter. They were subpoena for the records of that event and never produced the results (which is one of the reasons I won my Lemon Law case.

    Yeah i don't know what that dudes problem was. I have been talking to my dealer about a 4runner or a new Tacoma. I am not completely soured on the truck, I truly think I had a faulty one off. They just happened to get a cement DCSB with tech pack so I am leaning that way.
