    It finally happened. A neighbor has four little dogs that are never leashed and super aggressive towards other dogs. @Suprajim54 has witnessed them. Anyway, they always run up on my dogs when I take them outside and one jumped on Henry this morning. Chief, being super protective, got ahold of the other dog’s ear and sliced it up.

    When I told him that leashes are not only the law but also for everyone’s protection, his response was, “I don’t have any.”

    I legitimately feel bad for the dog, but the neighbor can eat shit.

    Edit: no, my first thought was not “pics or it didn’t happen”

    Cant fix stupid! I dont leash my pup on most occasions but if he gets hurt because of my negligence to put a leash on him im def not gonna expect the other person to pay for any damages.

    Fair enough.... and totally agree with you. My dog killed a Yorkie that came in our yard while out on a walk with its owner....i don't think on purpose (thunk he was trying to play, but a 150lb cane corso doesn't understand a little pup like that can't handle being batted around like his 200lb play mate.... the owner tried to push the issue. That didn't fair well for them when they called the cops....

    WHO TAUGHT THEM THIS STUFF?!
    Most of the time, dogs can figure out who wants to play and who doesn’t. For the occasion that things escalate (primarily in “claimed” territory, leashed vs non leashed, and just plain tired/cranky), it’s up to the owners to step in. Irresponsible dog owners make me so livid
