Yup! It was their power for a makeshift networking closet. That "extension cord" draped under the house and up into the floor of the closet. It's all Romex now, and terminated in a box.

 

I saw pretty much the same approach at my sister's house for several under-cabinet kitchen lights the previous owner installed.

 

Ive seen work like this in the cal fire building of all buildings.

 

I still had a hard time with mine, I had a shitty O'Reillys line nut wrench that seem to do a fantastic job at stripping the hose connectors. Had to resort to very very very tightly locked vice grips.

I am surprised the cubicle wiring is still allowed. That shit is fucked up.

I’m good with moving. Going from 600 square feet place so there’s only so much crap.

 

I have it and I love it! I don't have to worry about mowing the lawn or watering it anymore. Only downside is it gets hot in summer time and it doesn't feel as good as regular grass.

 

Don’t forget you will need to wash it every week or so during the summer with an enzyme cleaner to keep the nasty bacteria at bay... if you have doggos or little kiddos it could get them sick if the bacteria is left to propagate.

 

Sounds expensive. Just sprinkle some tussin on it and you're good
