So should I pull off the factory predator steps before Rush? Do they pose more of a risk to cause damage since they aren't real sliders?

I've been thinking of pulling them off & posting them for sale anyway. This is just a good excuse I suppose.

I would take them off as well. Worst case, leave them on til you get to camp and let a bunch of 'sober' internet strangers take them off your truck for ya! Then, we'll put them back on when you leave.

I spent better part of 3 years without sliders. Did no damage to rockers. Since sliders, I've ground them on rocks a dozen times. Steps that sit where sliders do would hit most likely. Not strong enough to bash 'em on rocks. YMMV.

If we can't get 6-8 bolts out on each side with a "few" drinks in us, we don't belong wrenching on anything.

Sliders and bare rockers don't have hangy downs. Predator steps do.

I'd feel awful for someone tearing up their truck for NOT telling them to take off their step bars.

Man, if that doesn't instill confidence in going to meet up with a bunch of internet strangers in the middle of the woods, I don't know what will.:cheers:

Are you on Anderson Ferry just past Rapid Run? I live basically 1 mile, if that, from there.

I guess that'll be okay. They'll fit right in with the rest of the sheep at Rush. :D

Probably. She's a bit more hardcore than most jeepers I know, she actually followed me on some trails up here which qualifies her as certifiably crazy.

But seriously, anyone is welcome. Any skill level. Any tire type or size. You can ride with someone.
