I still think that cable conversion is the way to go. If I wasn't trying to keep my Cruiser a perfect stock example I'd replace my rear locker on the 9.5 with a cable actuated one.

Sometimes I wish this site was like reddit where we could tag people with flair that appears next to their name but only when you're logged into your account. I would tag him as Ginger Santa

Man I'm glad to live an hour away from that place in case something goes wrong. Sounds like the go to place for diff work. Just hope I never have to go there.

But yeah he was super cool, offerd to check the back lash and everything, and send the motor out when he got home.

ECGS and Just Differentials are hard to beat. Although after all I've heard about ECGS screwing up orders since they gained popularity I think I'd just wanna pay JD a visit. Or just go down the street to @ZUK since he's nearby

Well, from what info I've gathered, most driveline shops in this area get parts from ECGS. But if I had to, it wouldnt be a problem to just take my truck to them.

I think on that all the time. Try to figure out a decent location for the lever is holding back.

It wouldn't even need to be in a easy access spot either.

I think @mechanicjon hit the nail on the head for 1st gen tacomas at least, 4runner center console and e-brake lever would look nice and function well. Unfortunately my Cruiser already has a floor mount e-brake lever and I like to use it so that's outta the question for me

Question, i'm in the market for new upper control arms and ive got OME Suspension. I'm leaning towards SPC 25460 uca's for my 2000 tacoma but also interested in the Total Chaos or something similar as in the next year i'd like to upgrade my suspension to kings or icon's. Should i wait to do it all at once or get started with something like Total Chaos and will it compliment the OME or is that suspension not recommended with those types of control arms. thanks in advance!!

I found out today the ball joints were replaced by the dealership under the factory TSB. Only problem was that it was done in 2006 at 23,000 miles. I have 220,000 now... Ha!
