What have you done to your Tacoma today? 1st Gen Edition

After a couple weeks of prep work, I finally sprayed my bed with Raptor Liner this morning. Seems to have come out pretty nice. I seems more durable already than the Herculiner I used on my previous truck.

How big of an air compressor did you need?

 

Not that big, whatever can hold 40-60 psi constantly for spraying.

 

Oh, that's not too bad. I think my compressor could maintain 50psi easily enough.

 

Yeah it's pretty simple. B is for Build did a video of him spraying his FJ with it.

 

My headlights are turning yellow again so I ordered new ones. Decided to try Depo this time. I have TYC now. Damn Amazon seller sent me the cheaper Vision brand headlights which cost much less. I asked to return for refund. Going back & forth for a few days, finally they offered me a 40% discount or option to return for refund. I requested return. Today they issued me the refund & told me to just just keep the headlights.

Not Truck related but got me a new grinder today! Heck yeah!

 

Bought a belt tensioner gauge and redid all of my belts as they were kinda loose, except my ac belt was right on the money. Looking like the air leak is most likely coming from my brake booster

Any idea if we can install these without jacking up the truck?

 

I'd have to go out and look but I don't see why not, although it would probably be a lot easier with the wheels off.

 

this weekend, replace rear struts and add new improved bumpstops

edit: while i was in new orleans i got into a fender bender with my moms camry. i've replaced and panted the fender but it needs a better clear coat. with this new found skill i feel a little comfortable redoing the right rear cab

 

Removed 4ml of fluid. Works perfect now
Total of 36~38ml of fluid.

 

I used my 6 gal compressor. I set it for 70psi and it maintained 60psi while spraying.

Question for you guys...which of my two front bumpstops should I replace with the upgraded ones? @Plastics Guy shows that he replaced the rear LCA bump stops on his 3rd gen T4R, but I could've sworn I've seen guys with 1st gens replace the front ones when retrofitting Wheeler's bumps to fit. Or does it really matter?

I asked the manufacturer in his thread but haven't heard yet, was wondering what you guy's thoughts are

 

My though is front because I could of sworn that is what he did in his pic

 

I did the front for super bumps. No idea what your bumps are but I did that as the front mount had a bigger contact area for the bumper to bolt too. And the stock one is taller which means it'll hit the bumper later
