Droop equals down travel .... full extension of the shock but you don't want to rip the brake lines free. Hence needing extended brake lines. Up travel is the opposite but you want the bump stop to hit the frame before the shock gully compresses and bottoms out

Droop is the downward travel of the suspension. Your OEM brake lines will not be long enough if you install Dakar’s and a shock that can let them full droop. Your best bet is just to do the full OME setup and not have to mess with the bump stops or brake lines. You won’t be getting all the droop of Dakar’s but if it’s more for looks then who cares, plus youll have a stouter leaf pack than the shitty stock pack.

Why have I read so many things on the 5100 and Dakar full leaf but no one ever mentions the bump stop fix?

Because most don't even worry about it. ;)
It's always good to cycle the suspension to see what length of shock fits your need. You do that by removing the shock while truck is on jack stands and use a floor jack to compress to the bump stop and sag, droop, lower the axle to full extension of brake lines.

Because you do not have to do it for standard 5100s but you will for extended versions.

That's why I was confused when she said the standard should go with a block or ALL when the kit recommends Dakar
