Does anyone have any experience with GoalZero generators? is it worth it? My main use is to hook up a fridge (ARB) and any other small electronics nothing major.

They are an option but you may want to consider adding a deep cycle battery to the system to act as a house battery for the appliances. Or a Dual battery system that you can link.

sooooo I have a dual battery system set up (spoiler alert):rofl:from genesis off-road. But wasnt sure if i hook up the fridge to it, how it would stay powered up when the car is not running. As you can tell i am not quite familiar with how the ARB fridge works

I have National Luna fridges and they have a built in cutoff when the truck power gets low. I’m sure the ARB has a similar built in feature.

I see, so technically i can have the fridge hooked up to the second battery, and since it draws little it wont drain it that quick. then when i turn the car on the battery gets recharged...? Correct? Thanks for the info..

I don't have their generator, but I do have a few of their products and they are definitely good quality stuff. We didn't go out on camping trips that were long enough to justify the need for a generator...but that might change now that the kids are a little older and we are moving back to the mainland (hence why I'm in the STL regional thread). :D

a fridge does fine on 1 battery so long as you plan on driving every 2 days pretty much. the only time ive killed mine was when i parked the truck for 3 days while it was 90+ and a lot of opening/closing plus putting warm stuff in

nope just the single stock battery. ive used it over a couple roadtrips though and really the truck just doesnt have an issue starting up the next day or the day after. a buddy used one for years on a single battery while on trips.

    So question,

A bunch of you probably have experiences with the differnet fridge/freezers and want to get some opinion prior making a decision. I am looking to purchase the ARB elements.

The only thing holding me back is that the inside is not compartmentalized between a fridge and a freezer thus cant use each separate, its either or. What is the next alternative from experience that would hold up and have minimal issues?

The reason i am leaning towards the element is because of the construction for my open truck bed...

    Thanks for the advice

I have some National Luna 52L fridges and a 90L fridge/freezer. The Weekender 52L fridges are only one compartment but the 90L fridge/freezer has twin compartments but a single lid. They offer double door with twin compartment models but they are the larger sizes. I like the brand because I have experience with them from when I was overseas and the kept on working in some of the most ridiculously harsh environments. With that said, I know other brands work well too. If you come out to the mod day this Saturday you are welcome to finger poke them.

So i came across the snomaster series and looking at price for the 95 shipped its 1550, am i reading it right? Ive been reading and comparing seems like a fairly good competitor? Any thoughts?
I should be fine with the size, had a 110 cooler with no issues
