    Nope, just rolled over the curb.
    Total round trip mileage came to 12.16MPG while towing. Would’ve been better but on the way home when we turned North in IL we had a pretty stiff head wind also battling traffic in Rockford.

    How do you like the 14DBS? I've found some similar models by Forest River and I like the weight ratings on these. I have a first gen 2.7l so weight is a big concern for me. I have spent many hours watching reviews and walk through's of these and similar trailers. I tow 30 plus foot boats with 3/4 ton and up trucks and have plenty of experience towing.

    Do you notice any trailer sway? And how is it just towing on the interstate?

    I know we have two different set ups, but this trailer has everything me the wife and dog would need.

    Also good set up, the blue and red look good in my eyes honestly.

    Well at least you didn't hurt anything. I've seen people take out a trailer with those concrete posts that gas stations have to block the pumps.

    Looking at the pic of your 179 it looks like it is NOT the Hood River Edition, as my 180 is. The HRE sticks up four inches higher so it has more wind resistance. That might account for your slightly better mileage. CA summer blend fuels might play a part too.

    It’s an idea.

    I tell people all the time convert the generator to propane. It's cheap and easy. You carry one 20lb LP bottle for the propane generator. 4 gallons of fuel in a 20lb bottle.

    Runs so clean you change the oil after about 400 hours, and the spark plug is clean.

    Two of my BFG 265/70/R16 Rugged Trail TAs will have to be replaced really soon because of sidewall cracking. There is still tread left but I don't trust the sidewalls for a trip out of town.

    The question is:
    Should I buy another pair of Rugged Trail TAs or go with a different brand of tire? My truck is a PreRunner and never goes off road, so I don't really need the aggressive off road tread.
    (I bought it for the V6 because I knew I wanted to upgrade my Coleman tent trailer to a solid wall travel trailer.)

    The back pair are less than two years old. I had to replace them when someone stuck a knife through one of the sidewalls two months after I bought the truck. I replaced those with the same type of tire, BFG Rugged Trail TAs.

    I need to stay with the stock size because:
    1. I'm only replacing two at the moment.
    2. My Weight Distribution Hitch was just set up and would be affected if I went with a different size.
    3. If I did go to a bigger size it would probably just yield even worse gas mileage while towing.

    I am not happy with the current gas mileage but I'm unsure if going to a more street-type tread would really garner me any more mpgs. If I changed from the Rugged Trail TAs I'd like to find a nice street tread tire with a decent load capacity (without going to a multi-ply tire.)

    I want to get something that would be good for towing but not too heavy duty / expensive.
    I like the BFGs but I have heard that they are known for sidewall cracking.

    The front tires are six years old and were on the truck when I bought it two years ago.

    I would not pull that with my 4.0. Neighbor tried pulling one like that with his six cylinder and after a year bought a Tundra.

    My Taco got better mileage than a Tundra pulling mine. About 3500# loaded. Yes at 4000# close to 5000# loaded you’ll have your hands full going down the road.

    My rPod 180 weighs almost 4k lbs loaded and it is the max I would want to pull with a 4.0 V6, especially up steep grades.
