    So the question remains, where to mount them? Front or rear? And possibly some of the logic or reasoning behind the choices.

    Based on pictures provided, the OP is recommending a rear mount. But you just told me you chose a front mount. But you also just said you are not totally happy with your setup.

    Are we all just charting new territory here?

    @Plastics Guy What choice have your testers made? Front or rear. What is their reasoning for that choice?

    What location would allow more travel without the shock bottoming out? That's how I would run it .

    Location choice has nothing to do with my not happiness. It's the bumps themselves.

    The front mounts give more room for a taller bump and a larger surface area for the bigger bump to contact. Seems like the better spot. I'm no engineer though.

    Those seem like great reasons to mount to the front.

    Oh God!! a entire page of posts without the OP responding... Life is kicking my ass!! Sorry guys. Here's the Skeez.

    I made a nice instruction sheet and printed them out to ship out with each kit... well, my dumb ass didn't put them in the box's.o_O So no one received the damn instructions. :facepalm:

    The bump stops can ONLY be mounted at the rear of the LCA. DO NOT INSTALL IN THE FRONT LOCATION. (I say politely). I am very aware that other brand bumps can be run in the front, but mine can not. Its part of the magic.

    here are the install instructions for you guys.

    How to install your bump stops:
    Step 1: Remove old bumps located at rear of LCA with channel locks.

    Step 2: Take a scraper and clean any mud/ debris from the LCA.

    Step 3: Drop provided bolt into the new front bump stops and coat the threads with Loctite thread locker provided in the mounting kit.

    Step 4: Install new bump stops in factory location with supplied flange bolt using a 14mm deep socket. The notch in the casting should be facing the wheel. Tighten the bolt to 30 inlb.

    Step 5: Repeat on the other side.



    Please Note: Bump stop is designed to replace the rear bump stop on the LCA only. The front OEM bump stop on the LCA will remain in place.

    Thank you! Install pic's will come this weekend. That's a super low torque, I guess the LCA's threads are really easy to over torque?

    With the LCA at its max up-stroke there is more usable room for me to work with in the rear location to get the amount of rubber needed to provide to progressive feel. If my bump stop were installed in the front location you would limit the wheels up-travel.

    no worries, ask as many questions as you like. Without everyone's questions and input I would have never been able to make such a nice product :thumbsup:

    There just isn't a need to tighten them any further, the mounting hardware does not take any of the compression from the bump. With the provided thread locker applied to the threads the bolt wont back out or get loose.

    Interesting. But that makes sense. I never measured myself but figured the tall bump had a lower mounting point so would be better for a taller bump. Cool stuff!
