What have you done to your Tacoma today? 1st Gen Edition

I have timbren bump stops and their installation guide had me replace the rear LCA bump stop.

 

I got a set that @Plastics Guy made and started selling recently.



I'm leaning toward putting them on the front as well

 

That's what I thought too but went back to look and they're on the rear, just kinda hard to tell at first because of how close up the photos are.

 

How tall are they? Soft or hard?

 

They feel just like my rear Superbumps, soft to the touch but of course not able to be compressed by hand. Softer than the stock bumps to the touch for sure. And they're about an inch taller than the stock fronts.

 

I paid for a set too a while ago, did you get a tracking or update or did they just show up on your door?

I’m looking to replace my worn out OME 882 and nitrochargers but would like some suggestions and input.

I have no armor, though skids and sliders are in the near future and possible bumper. I also don’t do any typical offroading, but the truck does see a lot of dirt road and terrible two paths. I also already have LR UCAs.

I first thought kings, but the more I research I’m not so sure. I would like to keep the hieght the OME gives, but improve upon everything else. Any help?

 

Nothing exciting happened today, was bored so I looked to see if I could find any rust growing under the truck or oil leaking.

Got a bit airborne today... Tagged the factory UCAs into the fender wells pretty good, also the flares, but man is my landing soft haha.

 

Sounds like you need taller bump stopes if your uca is hitting the fender

 

Ahhh Vermont. The land my 5-lug has never been to.

I always have people ask me “You drove that piece of shit all the way from Vermont?” Before I had the chance to explain why I have a Vermont registered truck in California.

 

I asked the guy about ordering a set but he never responded. This is a fairly common issue with 1st gens though, most of the time people do it with uniballs though, they're a bit taller. I guess I'm an overachiever, best part was a cop was across the street when I came flying over the track. Got a head nod on my way past him haha
