So any recommendations on what to go with. Want to pick finally. Either the 5100 or full OME setup, both with 888 spring.

Considering adding 1/4in spacer up front as well. Seems a few guys have a nice setup with it.

Make sure you grease the yellow bushings in the leaf loops with marine grease otherwise they squeak when dusty and dry

yes I will! I've been reading a lot for the past few months and have everything ready to go.
If your installing OME 888 coils most kits come with a spacer for the driver side lean (1/4") if your referring to adding 1/4" spacers in addition I'd check out your cv boots and look into doing the "boot slide mod" to give the fins of your cv boots some room. Some people will say it's no issue and some say it will be an issue , just be prepared to do the extra little work to make things right. Also look into ECGS needle bearing replacement as lifting 3" has a good chance of needing this .

What is ECGS? (new to a lot of this) And is that needed if I dont do the extra spacers, just the OME kit with 888s and Dakar leafs.

East coast gear supply needle bearing replacement. It’s a $60 clamshell bushing. A must. Make sure you get the correct size for the differential. The TRDoffroad takes the bushing for the 8” diff. Just got it done and the vibe is FINALLY gone.

It's a must with both OME and the 5100 setup?

Torn between OME 887/888s and between Dakar MD/HDs on a 3rd gen. No armor yet but sliders and bumpers front and rear are on the wish list. Wondering if anyone else has had the same dilemma and how it worked out.

I'm trying to get 2.5-3" of lift or so all around. Keeping the factory rake would be good. I have a hard shell on the back and am putting a platform back there, hence the dilemma - more constant weight than spec for the regular Dakars to get that kind of lift but less than the 660lbs the HDs are spec'd for.

The three bad outcomes would be:
    1) I go 888s and HD Dakars and the end up with a front-to-back rake or very harsh ride in back
    2) I go 887s and HD Dakars and get a very intense rake or very harsh ride in back
    2) I go 887s and regular Dakars, don't get the amount of lift I'm looking for, and lose more when I throw some armor on.

My struggle is that the Dakars are spec'd for either 0 load or 660lbs and I'm somewhere in the middle. Anyone with a similar setup?

Don’t think you will get 2.5” all around. More like 2” in from 3” back. I went with medium. Plenty of stiffness and weight capability with bumper and sliders. Go with the 6-leaf setup (7-leaf had Dakar’s minus the 3rd leaf from the top) with 3 degree shims if you have the ECGS bushing

Is anyone with a 3rd gen willing to post fender to ground measurements with 5100/888 w/ medium dakar around a 285/70r17 setup?

    Installed Kit:
    Camburg UCA
    888coils (assembled by "headstrong off-road")
    Bilstein 2nd gen 5100/b110 rears
    1/4" driver side spacer
    Dakar Med
    ECGS bushing
    OME CB drop

Install took 8 hours. Front was solo , rear had a friend help

-After install even with my 1/4" driver side spacer truck sits lower by 5/8" on driver side, seems a little odd anyone have any input? I'm thinking of changing it out to a 1/2" spacer. Rear sits level L/R .

    - After install I have some vibration from 0-20mph ( seems to be drive line) and again around 70 mph . The low speed vibration also seems to be at lower rpm's as rpms are higher vibrations are not noticeable. I have not re torqued anything yet (only 60miles sense lift) I'm thinking I may need 3* shims and potentially removing CB drop.

Im in the same boat right now. Luckily I added a leaf spring center pin sleeve so if i need the shims theyd be easy to install. Are you going to remove the cb drop when you add the shims? I never thought of that
