    Yesterday the truck thermometer indicated 106-108 on I-635 in Dallas. Real ambient was a couple of degrees less, but I bet it was that hot on the concrete. 80-85 mph, in and out of boost, coolant was 194 like a rock. Tomorrow is supposed to be hotter. I’ll see how it goes.

    It was 112 through Lake Havasu a couple weeks ago. I was going uphill in a headwind for at least 5 minutes and boost was a constant 3 to 5psi. My intercooler pre/post temps were 200 pre and 140 post. That's 140° going into the engine.
    My coolant temp never went above 190 with my 160° thermostat.

    What sucks is you have to buy separate since URD only provides a 170.
    The 160 still worked like a champ at 8°F.

    My shit is all stock.
    Just an FYI for y'all...

    I spoke to Demi at CSF today.
    She told me that the #7076 radiators should be available August ninth or 10th. She also advised that they will likely sell out very quickly and to get one on order with a CSF distributor as soon as possible. She wouldn't provide any pricing info. No info on the Tacoma specific radiator either.

    I know man! I was very keen on listening for any knock or abnormal sounds. No issues.
    I dont have 7th or meth. I am very curious how much difference each would have but then I also wonder how much thermal shock there is when people sc's are heat soaked like sitting at idle the accelerate causing the meth to flow. That is a very quick temp change going on internally.

    This mod is on my TODO list. I'm going to be wheeling up a mountain at slow speeds in steep climbs in 100+ degree dusty heat this weekend on a 2 day trip. I'll monitor temps with an Ultra Gauge, but I already know they are not going to be happy.

    It will help but keep in mind that at really slow speeds the fan is the primary factor and s you speed up the radiator is.

    Yeah, I've built earlier Toyota trucks with similar custom radiators and switched out to electric fans for that reason, off road in high heat. Performed great in those specific scenarios but not a big fan of the aftermarket electric fans in general.

    I hear ya. I will be trying my luck with one in the future though. I'm going to use a mid 90's t-bird fan. It's an 18' fan like the stock clutch fan. You can always modify the clutch fan too to pull more air an idle and lower rpm.

    We actually measure propeller torque output. This is a C-130 propeller and max torque we are allowed is 19,600 in lbs of torque.
