i always give the rear attention first.

 

Yea it seemed like the better route. Friend is giving me crap about not doing the front first. But whats the point if you cant put the power on the ground...

 

its the u bolt plates that are bent getting new ones from TC right now and new u bolts remember bought the kit used not new then that should fix it

 

Slowly making progress

 

I was at dmz the other day and the spec they had from deaver was 92 ft lbs but they never go that high. They said even their beefy sua plates could bend from torquing that high. They don't even get near to that, drive for a little bit and re torque them until they stop loosening up. They said keep Ann eye on them because the holes have a tendency to wallow out if the nuts get loose.

for the guys with the TC LT kits, do you guys add a diff drop kit also?

 

I don't. With the extended length of the CVs and the different shock orientation there isn't really a need for one. Furthermore, with being 4x4 your limit straps will catch first anyway to prevent binding.

 

so after running the spacers on the rear starting to get some brake noise ...

 

Doesn't seem likely to be caused by the spacers - you could always take them off and see if it goes away even if you have to remove your shocks for a spin around the neighborhood. Did you just torque them to BORA's spec and check them after 5 miles like they suggest?

 

Where did you get your kit or did you make it? Not enough companies making them for first gens - love that setup! How does it handle on the street?

 

I did the rear first. Thank god since it was my first fan project and wasn’t the cleanest. Still got the job done and now I get to redo it with a lot more experience

 

I found a shop in Hesperia, CA that did the whole install. The shop is @robrjfab on insta. It's a Camburg SUA kit, and Fox bypasses. The rest is their own home brew.

It rides surprisingly stock. I'd be down to meet up if you wanted to check it out at some point. I think there used to be a Long Beach meetup randomly, no idea what happened to it though.

 

For sure if you're in the area, please let me know, there's a few 2nd gens I've seen with that setup. It would be awesome to find a reasonably priced setup for first gens too. I've (probably) seen your truck on instagram - that guy does amazing work.

 

What length shocks? Were you able to get the full 19" of travel out of the camburg kit?

 

Ya I did I started hearing it more after I put the Spring under kit on. Now the brake light comes on I think with the lift the Cable is getting yanked ?

 

afaik the parking brake doesn't illuminate the light

 

I'm in Pedro / Redondo area, so I'm down.

 

It has a 10" shock. I'm currently strapped and bumped at 18".
