I've bought a ton of vehicles a lot were out of state and let me tell you the fiascos associated with dmv-dmv transactions. Also had a local dealer screw up stuff and I had to go to the DMV and fill out the proper paperwork. It happens from time to time. Rare but it does happen and they usually can right it without you knowing.

I've seen this truck a few times around town, mostly at the grocery store. Once at the TD convention center during the gun and knife show. Could be a member on here but he/she has never popped into this thread

It's been about a week since I did the seafoam treatment where you spray it into the intake while revving the engine until its empty. The truck definitely pulls harder than it did before. I guess 130,000 miles has put some nasty deposits in there. I almost want to do it again before I change the oil in a couple thousand miles and just get everything out lol

How did the neighbors like the smoke? Or did it smoke up the place? It always did when I did my Ranger. Well, the couple of times I did my Ranger.

You trying to make the new truck look a little like the Taco with the Line-x? Talk about blinded by the light damn that is a lot of chrome!

You should do this. Buffalo bills color needs a bills sticker.

Honestly, it didn't smoke all that much. Not like I expected it to. But after I let it hot soak for a few minutes and turned it back on and went for a drive, I had a huge black puff of smoke come out the tailpipe. I guess I had a lot of nasty stuff in there lol

Maybe it's different if you do it through the brake booster. :notsure:

Why would you put it through the brake booster or do you mean the hose that goes to the brake booster.

I tried to figure out which vacuum line would go to the entire engine. Seems like everyone said "x line only goes to one cylinder" so I just said f it and got the stuff that I know would get everything lol

Yes, the hose, funnel in it and pour in slow so the engine doesn't die.

The way I was doing it might have been specific for the Ranger.

Oh I know how to do it I've probably done more of those type of cleanings in a day at work than you have in your lifetime. I have a controlled drip bottle somewhere in the garage meant for doing it so you can set it and forget it and go do something else.

If you look at all the vacuum lines going into the intake just look for the one that's most centralized. Think of it as an old carbureted V8 how the carb was in the center. You won't ever get it perfect but that's the closest you can get.
