    Hello, have anyone replaced an Air Fuel Sensor on 3rd gen Tacoma? Where is that located? DIY or go to the mechanic? Thanks!

    If you talking about the air flow sensor its easy, located in the intake tube. I have not heard of an air fuel sensor. This of course does not mean it does not exist.

    Ok. oxygen sensor. There are multiple on our trucks. If you have the code it will tell you which one to replace. They can be a nightmare to get to.

    Thank you all for recommendations. To make story short - the sensor was covered by emission system warranty.

    From the warranty book:
    Vehicles equipped with a California Certified Emission Control System that are sold, registered and operated in California or any state that adopts California emission warranty provisions are also covered by the California Emission Control Warranty (see page 23). Currently, Connecticut, Delaware, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Jersey, New York, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Vermont and Washington are the other states to which the California Emission Control Warranty applies.
    For seven years or 70,000 miles, whichever occurs first: – If an emissions-related part listed on page 25 is defective (Air fuel ratio sensor is listed there), the part will be repaired or replaced by Toyota. This is your LONG-TERM Emission Control System DEFECT WARRANTY.
