Someone ran a red and smacked my front end so I figure now is a good time to get a steel bumper like a Pelfrey or something.

The problem I have is that the pieces of plastic usually left over after cutting to fit the new bumper have been mangled up. Does anyone know where to find just that part of the bumper?

I'm trying to get this done without spending my own money if possible. The body shop is willing to work with me as long as I pick up the difference if things run over what it costs to get back to OEM conditions.

I'm also open to other ideas about what to do with the truck while it's getting fixed.

Look on craigslist. I picked up a spare (even though it's the wrong color) from a local dude who was going to throw his away because he got a full metal bumper.

I believe that there are a few bumpers available that go all the way to the headlight seem. I'll look around and see if I can get you a link. Looks like he f***ed up your grill surround too. They can probably sand and repaint that.

Thanks dude, I'd appreciate that. I've been trying to find some DIY bumper plans I can modify but everything is either for 1st gen bumpers or it's a build kit with parts and looks clunky. I'd love to get my hands on (without stealing them) the CAD files for a low profile bumper like a Pelfrey, CBI, Addictive Desert, etc but I'm not finding anything. I have access to a plasma cutter, steel and aluminum stock, and a welder who does racing fuel cells. I'd be willing to pay for a drawing if there are any 3rd gen plans out there.

629591C4-84A1-4B8E-8263-1A8E1497CFE9.jpg Seems to be a bad month for our Tacos. My truck was backed into a spot at my work and a guest backed across the front end , like a reverse T-Bone. You can’t fix stupid. It’s in the shop now. I’m getting a Pro grill out of it though, courtesy of his insurance.
