No surprise, I use a Chinese floor jack from Harbor Freight. I have the low profile one and use a hockey puck or a wooden block to get a few more inches out of it.

So I'm kind of lazy in the fact that I don't like jacking the vehicle up at one corner, placing a jack stand, moving to the other corner and placing another jack stand.

The Low Profile 3 Ton Steel jack at Harbor Freight will actually lift higher than the standard jack by a few inches. Even with that, the low pro jack couldn't get both the front and rear tires on one side off the ground at the same time. They sell an adapter piece that replaces the cup and spreads the load. It's about the thickness/width of a 2x4 and can be raised an additional 5 inches. So you essentially get 7 inches over the fully erect jack.

This jack: The extra piece: The standard 20% off coupon can be used on the cross beam, but not the jack. They regularly do promos on the jack for around $80. It gets both tires off the ground with room to spare. (I do put jack stands under the vehicle too) It only sucks if you then try to go use the same jack on vehicle that doesn't have an actual frame.

You lift the entire truck, all four tires off the ground at the same time, using one jack?

I didn't know they sold that cross beam. Thanks for the link! My fully erect jack just isn't enough at times

@Naveronski we should team up and figure out how to get Twilite on the ballot next month.

    Indeed.

I’m protesting this month. I happily drove the hour+ to Four Corners last month, yet a Fort Worth suggestion was ignored.

If I can get my spindles swapped out on Saturday, I may be at Twilite Saturday night.

Looks like a good spot. Deep Ellum doesn’t have a kitchen (unless they added one since I’ve been there). In for sammies *next month
